La Poste was designed in 1993 by Bruce Farr and was built in the same Swiss shipyard as the famous racing vessel, Alinghi. She was built to participate in the Whitbread Round World Race, known today as the Volvo Ocean Race. Thanks to the French skipper and sailing icon, Eric Tabarly, La Poste placed third in the Whitbread. He reached a maximum speed of 40 knots in this challenging, momentous and world-renowned race.
Now La Poste is available again for travelers who want to live unique experiences on the sea. It is open as a sportive cabin charter and for offshore sailing races. Having sailing experience or not, La Poste welcomes all guests on-board, to enjoy her high-performance with maximum safety.
You can share a 12-day Atlantic adventure with a sociable crew aboard La Poste from January 15 to January 27, 2014. She will embark from the Canary Islands and cross to the beautiful port of Santa Marta, Colombia. This once-in-a-life-time experience is awaiting you!
