Your sailing trip
A 7-day catamaran sailing holiday departing from Marina Ibiza in Eivissa, navigating the southern coastline through Ses Salines, Sa Caleta, Cala Jondal and Es Codolar before rounding the southwestern cape toward Es Vedrà and the western bays of Cala Conta.
Marina Ibiza, also known as Marina Botafoch, occupies the northern breakwater of the Eivissa harbor directly opposite the old town of Dalt Vila. The location places the boat at the center of the most historically and architecturally concentrated point on the entire island, with the UNESCO-listed Renaissance walls of the upper city visible across the harbor entrance from the berth and the waterfront promenade of the new marina immediately accessible on foot. As a departure point for a sailing week along the southern and western coastline of Ibiza, the position is ideal: the best anchorages and beaches on the island lie within a compact arc of coastline extending from the southeastern tip southward and then northwest toward the western cape.
The southern coast of Ibiza between Eivissa and the Torre de Ses Portes is shaped by the Ses Salines Natural Park, a protected area that covers the ancient salt flat system in the southeastern corner of the island, the pinewood-backed beaches of Es Cavallet and Ses Salines, and the marine corridor connecting Ibiza to Formentera through the shallow posidonia channel of Es Freus. The salt production here dates to the Phoenician period and the salt flats remain in operation, their geometric shapes visible from the water as the boat rounds the southern cape. The natural park designation controls anchoring in the most sensitive posidonia zones and protects the water quality that gives this entire section of coast its clarity.
Sa Caleta, on the southwestern corner of the island, is one of the most historically significant anchorages in the Balearics. The headland above the beach is the site of the only Phoenician settlement in Ibiza outside of the main city, with archaeological remains dating to the 7th century BCE that explain the island's long tradition as a maritime waypoint between North Africa, Sardinia and the Iberian Peninsula. The beach below is a sheltered cove of dark sand and clear water largely invisible from the road network above.
Further northwest, Es Torrent and Cala Jondal anchor the southwestern coast in a different character: remote enough for genuine solitude, well-known enough among the sailing community to have developed small beach restaurants that serve fresh fish to boats arriving by tender without requiring advance reservations. Es Vedrà, the volcanic island rising from the sea off the southwestern tip of Ibiza, closes the southern section of the route before the coastline turns northwest and the classic western bays of Cala Conta and the Cala Comte area open the final days of the week.

Yacht - Oceanis 41.1
The Beneteau Oceanis 41.1 is a 41-foot cruising monohull that sold over 550 hulls worldwide, a number that reflects how consistently the boat delivers what a week of coastal sailing actually requires: a large and genuinely usable cockpit, a bright interior that functions well for a full group, and a rig designed to be managed without stress by a mixed-experience crew.
The Oceanis 41.1 was developed as a meaningful rework of the Oceanis 41, with the mast moved aft to free interior volume in the bow and all controls led back to the cockpit to simplify handling underway. The cockpit feels spacious for a 41-footer and seats a full crew comfortably, functioning through the week as the boat's dining room, lounge and planning area in equal measure. Twin wheels at the stern create an unobstructed central space between the helm stations, and all sheets and halyards run back to cockpit winches so the boat can be sailed short-handed without requiring crew movement on the foredeck during maneuvers.
The greatest improvement in the 41.1 over its predecessor was made in the master stateroom forward, which gained significant space as the mast moved aft. Double doors provide privacy to the cabin, and when left open they make the boat feel longer and more spacious throughout. The island berth sits either on the centerline or angled to starboard depending on configuration, and the ventilation from three overhead hatches in the forward cabin makes it comfortable in the warm conditions typical of Mediterranean coastal sailing.
The saloon benefits from the same rework, with natural light entering through multiple hull portlights and overhead hatches that keep the interior bright throughout the day. The galley is positioned along the starboard side with enough counter space and storage for provisioning a full group over a week at sea. The design focus throughout is clear: a setup that lets guests sail short-handed without stress and spend their time in a rhythm of two to four-hour passages, anchoring for swimming and evenings in the cockpit with food and drinks.
The Oceanis 41.1 is available in two, three and four cabin configurations. The exact layout will be confirmed before departure while maintaining the same standard of onboard comfort and finish.

Pack smart for your yacht charter: choose a soft bag instead of a hard suitcase, bring lightweight layers, reef-safe sunscreen, and non-slip shoes for onboard use. A couple of swimsuits and motion sickness remedies can also make a big difference. Each boat has limited storage, so pack light, but wisely! Need help building the perfect list? Read our full guide: What to pack in a suitcase for a yacht charter
Start your day with a swim in a quiet bay, sail to hidden beaches or seaside villages, and enjoy a slow lunch on deck. Afternoons mean snorkeling, sunbathing, or exploring ashore. As the sun sets, your boat anchors in a scenic cove or near a harbor, ready for a relaxed dinner and a night under the stars. Curious about the full experience? Discover more in our guide: What’s a typical day like on a sailing holiday?
On skipper-only charters, guests usually share cooking and cleaning duties, think salads, pasta, and good teamwork. If there's a hostess, light meals and tidying are included, but it's still a casual, collaborative vibe. On fully crewed yachts, you’ll enjoy full service with a chef and crew managing everything. Want to know what’s included in your setup? Read the full guide: Who takes care of cooking and cleaning on a sailing charter?
Summer sailing holidays rarely face major weather issues, but when the sea gets rough, skippers adjust the route for your safety. Expect protected bays, marina stops, or a change in plan. These moments often lead to unexpected gems: local towns to explore, time to relax on board, or cozy dinners ashore. Curious about how crews handle these changes?
