The final stretch of our sailing will bring us to the shores of Lavezzi in Corsica and the ancient fortress town of Bonifacio, set above creamy-white limestone cliffs hollowed out by the waves of the Mediterranean, the old town is connected by steep footpaths and a single winding road to its harbour and modern marina shelters at the landward end of a snaking fjord-like inlet, a true must for anyone visiting Corsica and a real jewel to enjoy.
