Sailing for The Maddalena Archipelago was declared a National Park in 1994 and is certainly one of the most beautiful and unspoiled areas of Sardinia.
Departing from Portisco, we sail between the archipelago of La Maddalena and southern Corsica. La Maddalena, the first national park in the region created in 1996, is a group of 60 islands and islets scattered on the north-eastern coast of Sardinia, of the Emerald coast. It represents a cultural and environmental heritage of rare beauty, envied and admired by the whole world. Navigation allows you to reach and visit some of these islands including Spargi, Budelli, Razzoli S.Maria and Caprera. A journey between wild nature and history. The south of Corsica with the beautiful beaches of Bonifacio: the islands of Cavallo and Lavezzi. We discover places reachable only by sea, unique sunsets where the horizon extends as far as the eye can see. In this itinerary, halfway through the weekly trip, there will be a stop at the Port of Bonifacio to admire the beauty of the perched citadel, which from its 70 meters in height gives the sea a unique setting. In the old and most characteristic part you get lost in intertwined alleys, savoring its history and enjoying a breathtaking view.
The itinerary is indicative and subject to variations at the skipper's discretion, based on marine weather conditions.
Itinerary
Day1
Palau, Sassari
ISLANDS of CAPRERA and LA MADDALENA
On the evening of boarding, when you arrive in Palau, you will find Freya waiting for you and while you settle in your cabin, the pots they will already be smoking for the first dinner on board. You will have plenty of time to get to know the other guests and get familiar with the boat.
Day2
Caprera
In the morning, the moorings are released for the first navigation of the boat holiday: the first stop for a swim and lunch at anchor it is usually in Caprera, on one of its white beaches immersed in the intense and fragrant green of the Mediterranean scrub.
In the afternoon, after dives and rests, on the sails to round the head of the island and go and spend the night in one of the bays of the Magdalene.
Evenings and nights in the peace of the bays, at anchor, are one of the best things about a sailing holiday. First the silence and the colors of the sunset will leave you breathless, then the sea will rock you and the next morning, as soon as you wake up, a dip - the real privilege of a sailing holiday ...
Day3
CAVALLO ISLAND and SOUTH CORSICA
To reach Corsica by sailboat, you will cross the mythical Strait of Bonifacio, the stretch of sea that separates it from Sardinia. A navigation of a couple of hours that will make you truly savor the pleasure of sailing and the wind. In Corsica, one of our destinations is the island of Cavallo, with its bays which are the bluest mirrors of water you can imagine. In the afternoon, if the conditions are favorable, we will sail to one of the most beautiful beaches in the Corsica, the bay of Rondinara, for an aperitif on the sand.
Day4
LAVEZZI
If possible, we dedicate a whole day to discovering Lavezzi, an island of timeless charm and breathtaking beauty. Its waters are extraordinarily transparent, and the underwater landscape is as beautiful as the terrestrial one: king bream, sea bream and groupers will swim around it fearlessly above seagrass meadows. You will be among the lucky few who will be able to enjoy it at sunset, with no one around, and walk among the paths of flowers and rushes that bend down to the sea, among the rocks sculpted by the wind in amazing shapes. The night in Lavezzi is always magical, and will be one of the best memories of your sailing holiday in Sardinia and Corsica.
Day5
BONIFACIO
In the middle of the week we sail to Bonifacio, a worldly stopover for sailing holidays in Sardinia and Corsica. From Lavezzi or Cavallo, the sails are raised to go up the wind and arrive under the white cliffs of Bonifacio to take the opening of the fjord where the marina is located, certainly one of the most evocative in the Mediterranean. Bonifacio is a beautiful town yet always proudly difficult to conquer: a place with character, as well as with a breathtaking view of the sea, chic cafes and nice shops. We never get tired of it ...
While onboard you are preparing for a special dinner, you will have plenty of time to stroll through the narrow streets of the historic center, go shopping, visit the old town, or simply enjoy a pastis sitting in one of the marina bars, admiring some of the most famous boats. beautiful in the world. The after dinner is usually dedicated to the search for good live music in some street of the center and to a digestive walk ...
Day6
PIANA ISLAND and BUDELLI ISLAND
Leaving Bonifacio, short navigation takes us to Isola Piana, a small island joined to the mainland by a strip of white sand and immersed in a blue sea that has nothing to envy to the Caribbean.
After lunch, the anchor is raised to sail back to Sardinia: a single edge up to Spargi, another to skirt Budelli, admire the amazing Pink Beach and find a place in the harbor to spend the night.
The colors of Budelli at sunset, the transparency of its sea, the scents that the Mistral brings from the island will make you love this land: magic that we see repeated at every boat holiday in Sardinia, and of which we too never get tired.
Day7
ISLANDS of SPARGI and RAZZOLI
When the boats that usually spend the night in port begin to arrive in Budelli, we leave ...
We are looking for a bay to dedicate ourselves to the last baths and the last lunch in the bay of the sailing holiday in Sardinia and Corsica.
And among the many islands that make this corner of Sardinia perfect for sailing - Spargi, Santa Maria, Razzoli - there is only the embarrassment of choice. Each has a story, a shade of blue, something to tell: the lighthouse in Razzoli, the donkey pass in Santa Maria, the sunken Roman ships in Spargi - on board, between a coffee and a myrtle after dinner, we will have all the time to tell you about it.
In the afternoon, one last sweet sailing to return and enjoy the evening ashore.
