Your sailing trip
Sailing to the Caribbean! Starting in Guadeloupe, The Green Caribbean Butterfly with calm lagoons and private coves, the absolutely perfect spot for a yacht charter experience.
8 nights in Guadeloupe, Le Gosier, Saint François, Marie Galante, Isles de le Petit Terre, the Arcipelago de Les Saint and St. Anne Les Saintes. The island of Guadeloupe resembles the shape of a butterfly from a bird’s eye view. Guadeloupe is an integral part of France that embraces calm lagoons, private coves, easterly trade winds and line-of-sight sailing; absolutely perfect for a yacht-charter experience. Our Catamaran will be started from Marina Bas du Fort, a Marina designed for your comfort and your pleasure! Located in unique surroundings, close to Pointe-à-Pitre downtown as well as the international Airport (6 kms) the cruise starts from Marina di Bas du Fort.
15 km of the southern coast of Guadeloupe, sits Les Saintes. A small archipelago, made up of 9 islands discovered by Christopher Columbus on 4 November 1493. It is known worldwide for the beautiful bay of Anse du Bourg, that reminds you a little of Rio's Pain de Sucre. Its is considered the third most beautiful bay in the world.
The island of Marie Galante, has at least a hundred mills, is the third largest among the islands of the French Antilles, at 158 km2. 30 km from Guadeloupe, Marie Galante is circular in shape with rolling hills, (Its highest point is just 204 meters) and its countryside is extraordinary. The northern coast is characterized by its high cliffs and nearly a quarter of the region in the north is separated from the rest by a deep fault. Today Marie Galante reminds you of Guadeloupe as it was fifty years ago: retaining it agricultural nature, this warm & welcoming island is almost entirely dedicated to the cultivation of sugar cane. Step back in time to surreal scenes of dual ox drawn carts kabwé transporting sugar cane to the 106 mills scattered across the island like sentinels.
The islands thrilling and bloody past provide the visitor a chance to learn with a step back in time, what life was like before. The few surviving distilleries are considered to produce amongst the best of rums. Marie Galante is bordered by heavenly, deserted beaches, some are considered the most beautiful of the archipelago of Guadeloupe. The region north of the island is the most picturesque, with forests, hills and beautiful beaches, where you get the feeling that time has stopped.
