Sailing Cruise from Rhodes exploring the Dodecanese Islands - covid-19 insured

We were a group of 2 couples from Australia. Our holiday consisted of 7days and nights on Magic. We visited the islands of Symi,Nisyros, Halki and Alimnia .Riccardo and his little side kick Andreas were absolutely fantastic. They made use feel very comfortable and gave us may laughs. Riccardo is an excellent captain ,extremely careful and keeps his yacht in top condition. It was 65feet and had heaps of space. We had breakfast, lunch prepared by Riccardo (he is an great cook) and evening drinks supplied. The swimming off the boat at every opportunity was only one of the highlights. We were able to explore the islands and enjoyed dinner in the many cute little towns. Riccardo was very flexible with our itinerary and gave us a life’s experience. Siamo stati messi in contatto con Intersailclub da un amico fidato, che sicuramente era un buon punto di partenza, me era comunque la prima vacanza in barca per molti di noi e quindi un po’ di apprensione c’era. Eravamo in 6, mio marito ed io, i miei figli di 9 e 11 anni (mai stati in barca), mio papà (appassionato di barca a vela, l’idea era nata un po’ da lui) e mia mamma, mai stata in barca e preoccupata di soffrirla. La vacanza (due settimane) è andata che meglio non si poteva: seguendo i sapienti suggerimenti del capitano Riccardo abbiamo visitato posti splendidi, fatto il bagno in baiette bellissime e senza troppa gente (ed era ferragosto!), navigato solo quando le condizioni lo permettevano, cenato in ottime taverne raccomandate da lui e dormito in tranquille baie quasi sempre lontano dai rumorosi e scomodi porti. Ottimi pranzi a bordo, preparati da Riccardo che si è rivelato anche un ottimo chef, persino mia mamma ha mangiato con gusto (sorprendendo anche noi), per non parlare degli aperitivi al tramonto che non sono mai mancati cantando a squarciagola tutte le compilation dei cantautori italiani. La barca ha tutto quello che serve: 4 comode cabine, pulite ed in ordine, 3 bagni, un’ampia sala da pranzo dove pranzare quando c’è troppo vento fuori, un comodo pozzetto dove abbiamo passato gran parte del tempo ad ascoltare i mitici racconti di Riccardo e 4 comodissimi prendisole dove stendersi a prua e a poppa. Anche mio marito e mio papà, che di barche a vela capiscono più di me, hanno gradito molto stare a bordo di una barca come il Magic, con una storia alle spalle, progettata da Irwin per veri navigatori anche di rotte oceaniche. Bambini entusiasti. Una nota di merito anche al mitico Tim che aiutava con tutto e preparava delle ottime colazioni con vero caffé italiano dalla moka. Grazie!

Riccardo is a very careful and safe captain with great respect for the sea and love for his boat. He always consulted with the four of us regarding daily sailing options and explained activities in the various islands visited - Nisyros, Alimnia, Halki, Symi. Andreas was his delightful and interesting crewman. We hired a car on a couple of days to explore the islands. Swimming in the superb clear turquoise water was a daily ritual. Breakfast was delicious with beautiful Greek yogurt, fruit, cereals and eggs. Lunch was a highlight of the day as Riccardo is an excellent cook! One day we had ceviche made with tuna line caught that morning - a pretty special meal. Always local wines and beers to accompany. Evening drinks served on deck in the evening cool were very enjoyable. Riccardo always had a recommendation as to where we should eat dinner. The we’re lots of laughs over the week. We spent a beautiful week on this really nice sailboat, clean and equipped with all that is needed for this type of vacation . Riccardo our captain was wonderful, friendly and attentive to all our needs. Took us along sailing to see many beautiful places. The food was also very good and it was fantastic to have the opportunity to dine out every evening on a different greek island. We are looking forward to having another wonderful vacation on Intersailclub again soon!!!
