Captain Luca Lianza is an experienced sailor, with vast knowledge of the best places to sail in Italy, Spain, Malta, Tunisia, and Corse, having chartered the area since 1994. Sailing since he was eight years old, he participated in racing competitions where he ranked in the top 10 European children’s division races for several consecutive years. He has sailed across the Atlantic Ocean, and has plans to cross the Pacific Ocean as well. His seasoned point of view, and his ability to create the perfect on board dynamic between guests have helped set the path of the company:I am captain and I have been sailing and doing yacht charter since 20 years. I came up with Intersailclub idea because I wanted to implement an easy booking system that would allow also individual travelers to book just their individual place without having to worry about filling an entire boat, therefore making this kind of vacation more accessible to everybody.
What do you do exactly?
I am the CEO and founder.
What gives you the greatest satisfaction?
When I see that guests are happy after their first experience on a sailing boat. Also to be able to offer this type of vacation as an alternative to ship cruises and motor yachting, and to be able to give a once in a lifetime experience to guests from the world over.
What or who inspires you the most?
The people on board, the fact that they enjoy meeting other like-minded travelers. To see how very often during these trips new friendships area sealed that last a very long time. Also the yacht owners who, thanks to this novel sailing holiday booking system, can now access this new travelers-market.

Positive, adventurous, spontaneous, reliable, friendly.
How do you like to spend your vacation?
Sailing, Skiing, independent travels.
I enjoy meeting local people, exploring nature and the culture of off-the-beaten-track locations.
What do you enjoy about working with Intersailclub?
For me it is a dream come true, I love the team’s passion and professionalism. I like communicating how good, easy and accessible sailing can be, both for leisure and as a travelling mode.
