Made for an American entrepreneur who used her for sailing competitions in the US and the Caribbeans
This beautiful classic sailboat was designed by the world famous Philip Rhodes and was built entirely in teak by the well-known yacht shipyard Cheoy Lee in Hong Kong, the ship was finished and launched in 1965. His first owner was an American businessman, he participated with the Alondra sailboat in several regattas in the United States and Europe, in the Classic Yacht of Antigua in the regatta of Classics of Saint Tropez and the Classics of Sant Barth,
sailing all over the Caribbean and Mediterranean, and circumambulating for the first time the planet.
Today, after 52 years of dazzling beauty and circumnavigate the planet twice with two of its owners, the Classic Alondra sailboat has not lost any of its original splendor, with its elegant lines continues to be one of the most beautiful classic sailing yachts ever built.
René and Edith and their daughter (Holland), their last owners, they have been sailing since 2004 with the Classic sailboat lark for the whole Mediterranean, Red Sea, Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and Straits of Malacca. In 2011, the classic sailboat Alondra returned to the Mediterranean to rent mainly in Turkish and Greek waters.
Ricardo P. acquires the Alondra boat (late 2017 - early 2018) and decides to bring it from Turkey to the Balearic Islands, touring the Mediterranean and continuing the work of Rene and Edith started with this living legend of the sea to offer it for rent in Pitusas waters.
