Our port of departure is the marina in Kos town. The island capital with its picturesque old town and the ancient port in the center of the city is the first highlight on this trip. From here we start our trips between the islands of the Dodecanes. The distances between the individual islands are small so that we can call at a different island every day. On the southern route we first come to the volcanic island of Nissiros. It follows Tilos, from there we can approach Chalki or Rhodes. Simi with its exceptionally beautiful harbor is another highlight on this route. On the north route are the islands of Kalymnos Astpaleia, Leros, Lipsi, Patmos and Samos. In summer there is a steady north-west wind here. Ideal sailing conditions, guaranteed sunshine and the hospitable island residents ensure a successful sailing holiday. Both routes can be combined very well into a two-week cruise.
An exact route is usually not determined, because the wind and the weather are the requirements of a sailor. In a lull, the goal is a long way off, when the winds freshen up, the day's goal is reached in no time and the planning is thrown overboard. The route is discussed with the skipper every morning before departure, taking into account the weather forecast. We spend the nights in lonely bays or in the harbors on the coast.

The contours of the island form four wide bays: two in the center and one in the South and North. They are called the "four seas of Leros", each of which was used as a port. It is not surprising that Leros was such a popular place for the fleet of different countries: protected bays gave excellent opportunities for mooring.
