This flagship of the line marries elegance, seaworthy qualities and unequalled comfort for extended cruises.
Cruise activities and tips
Travel organizer tips
By plane: flights to Malta from various Italian cities (Milan, Bergamo, Treviso, Bologna, Rome, Turin, Pisa etc.) to Luqa airport, the only one in the country.
By taxi from the airport: any taxi driver can take you to the citadel of Birgu (Vittoriosa), then ask for Grand Harbor Marina where there is the maritime museum, the taxi will leave you in front of pontoon D, if you want a trusted taxi driver call Sandro tel. 356.99969222, he speaks Italian very well.
The baggage must consist of what is strictly necessary, avoiding unnecessary things: consider that 80% of the time on the boat you wear a bathing costume, shorts and T-shirt.
Two pairs of short trousers
A pair of long breeches
A good number of T-shirts better if a light colour
Some long sleeve shirts
A sweater for the evening
A light wax or alternatively a K-way possibly with hood
bathing Costumes
12V power supplies for mobile phones and accessories
Chapstick
A flashlight, better a front led flashlight that allows you to have your hands free
Closed shoes with technical sole or with rubber sole (banned shoes with tank sole, shoes with heels, clogs).
Two towels one for fresh water and one for salt water
Sleeping bag and pillowcase (ask previously if it is possible to rent sheets on board)
Hygiene products (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.), we suggest you to bring: wet wipes, "marine" foam bath to be used with salt water.
Sun cream and after-sun cream.
Sunglasses (even two pairs)
Swimming and snorkeling mask (not required)
Hat / handkerchief (against the sun and wind)
Specific medicines (in each boat there is a first aid kit, but not always fully equipped: we suggest you to bring with you: eye drops, insect repellent and jellyfish, normal patches, patches against sea sickness, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, antidiarrheal, antihistamine, ear plugs)
· Valid identity documents required for the type of trip
RECOMMENDATIONS
· The bag MUST NOT be the classic rigid suitcase, but a soft, space-saving and easily stowed bag.
· Electricity is as precious as water: it usually works at 12 volts and not 220 volts, unless you are moored in an equipped Harbor. In some areas of navigation, it is almost useless to bring electrical appliances such as hair dryers, cell phone chargers (except those for car cigarette lighters), radios, computers, etc.
Clothing must be practical and sportswear is highly recommended.
In the sea, the glare of the sun is amplified and it is therefore easy to burn yourself: skin protection is essential.
When sailing, but especially when maneuvering, shoes should be worn to avoid slipping and cutting: salt water makes wound healing not easily and very slow.
· Before boarding, inform your skipper about particular clinical problems (e.g. drug allergies or food intolerances) - water problems (fear of water, being not able to swim.
