We make weekly cruises/trips that include sailing, navigation training, seamanship, and always fantastic scenery. We sail whenever we can, either along the coast, far out in the open sea, or inside the fjords, everything depending on the weather, and what you want to experience. Sailing trips in Helgeland are more than just sailing. There is beautiful scenery, rich bird life, and charming little places.
Itinerary
Day1
Welcome onboard
We always conduct a safety briefing before departure. We depart as soon as we have food and stores onboard. The route will be made in detail based on weather forcast for the next 3 - 4 days.
Day2
Explore Helgeland
We sail as much as we can, so we need to take the wind into consideration. Either it will be north / south or west. We sail between Bodø in the north, and Brønnøysund in the south.
Day3
Plenty to explore
We have many high mountains on the islands / along the coast (up to 1000 meter / 3000 ft). Most can be reached without climbing, but a nice (long) walk. There are also many smal fishing villages to explore, with very friendly people.
Day4
Fishing ?
We can not guarantee fish, but the chances are VERY good. So we fish always with a line behind the boat if the speed is not to high. Maybe a salamon can be the catch of the day ?
Day5
Kayaking ? Or maybe sauna ?
We do not bring kayaks onboard (if you dont request it). But there are several companies providing kayaks for day rental. We even have a floating sauna we can visit and use !
Day6
Eating well ?
Before leaving us you have to try some of the local restaurants. With fresh seafood, or very good local meat.
Normally we prepare the food / dinner onboard, but it is always nice to try the local food. And it is very good.

We have a TV (almost never used), plenty of USB chargers (not in cabins). Both bathrooms have showers.
It is 450 liter of water, and 215 liter of diesel onboard. All cooking on gas.
Safety includes gas and CO2 detectors, fire extinghuers, liferaft etc etc.

How to get there
Bodoe (Bodø) is the nearest major airport. So a flight to Bodø and then high speed ferry is one option. Or by train to Mo i Rana, and then bus to Nesna. Get in touch and we will find a solution for you !
What to pack
You need warm and windproof clothing. But we can also have 30 degress celsius, so check www.yr.no for the local weather.
Comfertable shoes (no black soles) onboard, and good shoes for ashore.
You need a sleeping bag, or bedsheets. We have pillows and duvets onbord. The beds are (about) 200 x 180 cm.
