Reaching Sardinia:

Getting to Sardinia is simple. You can fly directly to Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport, with frequent connections from major Italian and European cities. Alternatively, ferries from mainland Italy arrive in the harbor of Olbia, where your sailing route can begin. From this gateway, multiple departure points open the door to exploring the La Maddalena Archipelago or crossing into Corsica’s southern coast. Each port offers access to quiet anchorages and lively marinas, depending on the mood you’re after.

Setting Sail:

Captain Andrea welcomed us with the warmth and confidence only a seasoned sailor can offer. His deep knowledge of the coasts, currents, and secret bays made every stop along the way feel like a personal discovery. Whether sailing with the wind across open water or anchoring in a sheltered cove for a swim, his passion for the sea shaped our days in the most natural way.

Culinary Delights on the High Seas:

One of the most memorable aspects of sailing between Sardinia and Corsica is the cuisine. Each meal on board became an experience in itself, curated by our talented chef, who transformed traditional Mediterranean recipes into unforgettable culinary moments. Drawing from the rich culinary heritage of the region, he used only fresh, locally sourced ingredients to prepare dishes that reflected the soul of these islands. A standout creation was the Gnocchetti Sardi, a handmade Sardinian pasta dish elevated by Pecorino Sardo—a perfect example of how simple ingredients can deliver deep, authentic flavor. This journey wasn’t just about sailing; it was about tasting Sardinia and Corsica, one bite at a time.

Aperitifs at Sunset and Sardinia’s Secret Corners:

Evenings at sea held a special kind of magic. As the sun dipped behind the horizon, we gathered for aperitivo on deck—refreshing cocktails crafted by our crew, paired with a breeze from the Mediterranean and the sound of waves against the hull. These golden hour moments became a daily ritual, combining relaxation, connection, and celebration.

Guided by Captain Andrea, we set off to explore the hidden corners of Sardinia, especially the La Maddalena Archipelago. This stretch of sea, dotted with secluded coves and untouched beaches, revealed the wild beauty of northern Sardinia in its purest form. We anchored in remote bays where the water shimmered in shades of turquoise, swam in absolute silence, and trekked trails that led to panoramic views of the Mediterranean. Every stop felt like a personal discovery—untouched, quiet, and deeply rewarding.

The Flavours and Atmosphere of Corsica:

Our sailing route led us next to Corsica, where the southern town of Bonifacio rose dramatically from limestone cliffs. Inside its ancient fortress walls, we wandered narrow lanes lined with cafes, boutiques, and family-run restaurants. Here, the Corsican food scene came alive—smoked meats, aromatic cheeses, grilled seafood—all seasoned with a French flair and Mediterranean soul. Each meal told a story of the island’s culture and its connection to the land and sea.

My sailing holiday in Sardinia and Corsica wasn’t simply a vacation—it was a true immersion into the rhythms, flavors, and landscapes of the western Mediterranean. The combination of gourmet cuisine, hidden sailing routes, and expert local guidance gave us something rare: a sense of discovery that was both personal and unforgettable.
