About Us

Back in mid 20th century, our family was one of the first in these parts, who started readjusting old transport sailboats into modern cruising boats.
As pioneers, we were starting a new business, also known than as "pirate cruises", with sailors aboard "armed" with nothing but a guitar, accordion and a smile...

To this days, following the family tradition, we are still sailing , enjoying the chosen way of living...

Our destinations

Lived up to and bettered our expectations for an enjoyable and relaxing holiday. If you like an informal, relaxing holiday, this is for you. Swimming from the boat in quiet, peaceful locations chosen by the captain was a wonderful everyday experience. This sharpened the appetite for the excellent on-board breakfasts and lunches prepared by Toni the chef. Captain Marin and his crew are friendly people always ready to help out and talk about any aspects of the voyage. Nothing was too much trouble. We visited islands, National Parks and cities, so there was always something new to keep us interested. This also enabled us to eat at a different location every evening and enjoy the local cuisine. While relaxing over a drink at the end of the day informal chats with the captain and crew were an added attraction. This was our first experience of a cruise holiday and, for us, could not have been bettered. We would recommend the Leonardo to anyone.

Our Croatian Cruise Our week on The Leonardo cruising around the Croatian Islands has been one of the best holidays we have experienced. Our captain, Marin and his crew looked after us so well. Tony, our chef, cooked excellent and varied meals and Igor looked after us so well, nothing was too much trouble. Croatia is a beautiful, unspoilt and friendly country with so much history. We will be back next year.

Fantastic experience - a definite must do! We've stayed in some of the world's best hotels as well as many other resorts, huts, cabins, tents and castles. Our week on Leonardo was one of the best, most memorable. Marin is a genuinely warm captain and host. The small crew work continuously to keep the boat in good order and to ensure every guest has the a great holiday. We were introduced to small villages with superb seafood, national parks and, of course, the warm, clear turquoise waters of the Adriatic Sea. This holiday has established Croatia as a favourite destination
