Lagoon 450

2015 Lagoon 450

Life on board moves easily between the front trampolines, the cockpit and the flybridge, with the kind of small luxuries that turn a charter into a proper home away from home.

Guest cabins are private, each with its own en suite bathroom, individually controlled air conditioning and good natural light from roof hatches and side windows, with soft linens and quality mattresses throughout.

The cockpit doubles as the main dining area, with a large daybed nearby for reading or simply relaxing, while the galley stays fully equipped for proper cooking rather than quick meals, drawing on a mix of Asian and Western dishes, fresh fish and homemade bread, with a few nice extras like an ice maker and a coffee machine on board.

A flybridge above offers some of the best views on board, with sunbeds for the day, while the trampolines and seating area at the front are a favorite spot for sunset drinks, watching dolphins ride the bow wave, or simply taking in the stars at night.

A full set of water toys is kept on board, snorkeling gear, paddleboards, a variety of inflatables for the water and the beach, along with a solid range of fishing equipment for those who want to cast a line along the way.

An experienced skipper and a dedicated cook take care of navigation and meals throughout the charter, tailoring the food and the pace of each day to the group on board.

About Us

The boat is the fulfillment of a life-long dream of having our own yacht in the Maldives. We first visited the islands back in 2002, and fell so in love with the tropical paradise and its surf that we returned every year afterward. The idea of having our own boat, so we could anchor off our favorite spots and surf them by ourselves for as long as we liked, kept that dream alive until it finally became real.

In August 2016, we decided it was now or never, and began the search for the right boat. Years of surf charter and sailing trips had taught us exactly what we were looking for, something nice and stable, with spacious, light filled cabins and plenty of outdoor space so everyone on board could find their own corner. A Lagoon 450 turned out to be the perfect fit, and we found one in Greece fully equipped with air conditioning, a generator, a water maker, solar power and a long list of other extras, so we took the leap and bought her.

The crossing from Greece to her new home in the Maldives took two months. We then spent several more months fitting her out with the comforts we love, a coffee maker, a large barbecue, an ice machine, a big screen TV, nice linens, mood lighting and even a guitar on board.

Since we can't yet live on board full time, we decided to charter the boat for the next few years, because a yacht is meant to sail, not sit idle at anchor. Years of surf charter holidays around the world taught us exactly the kind of experience we wanted to offer in return, a private luxury charter with personalized service, an excellent crew, great food and the freedom to tailor your own trip, whether for a couple, friends or family.

We'd love to share this special boat with you, so you can experience the Maldives and fall in love with it the way we did. Our skipper and crew, all originally from South Africa, go out of their way to make every holiday feel special, whether you simply want to relax in paradise, explore deserted islands, surf, snorkel, dive or fish. Cruising aboard remains one of the best ways to experience everything the Maldives has to offer.
