Join Infinity in American Samoa for a journey along the beautiful reefs and lush mountains to Independent Samoa. Enjoy the Samoan way of life while having an opportunity to go diving, surfing, and sailing.
This is your chance to immerse in both of the Samoas and since we are sailing around several islands, you can truly soak up the scenery, coral, surf, and local vibe. Whether your calling is the reefs and tropical waters, or the fantastic hikes through the jungle mountains, or hanging out with the Samoans, you will not be disappointed.
Ashore you may want to listen to the local chorus in Sunday morning church or marvel at the abundant traditional tattoos, rich with artistry and technique. The patterns and shapes are bold, black, symbolic, and fitted to the curves of the body. The artists still make their own instrument to apply a traditional stick-poke tattoo. You can explore the beautiful diving, snorkeling, and wildlife. Scuba dive, freedive, and snorkel the beautiful reefs. The gorgeous waterfalls range in intensity from neck massage to powerful cascade – there is one for sliding down, another to bathe under. You can visit a giant swimming hole and the Piula cave pool, and see endless views of the bays. Walk among the trees at the Falealupo Canopy or through local markets with fruit, handmade wood carvings, colorful fabrics, and tasty fresh fish. Enjoy the surf at different breaks from beginner to expert on the islands of Upolu and Savaii. Ride the “Dragon’s Breath” wave, Pudding Rock, or ominously named “Devil’s Island” break.
You could spend a year on the islands and still wouldn’t have seen everything. To make the most of what both Samoas have to offer, we recommend giving yourself plenty of extra time outside of the voyage or combine trips we offer for a longer stay. We will have a wonderful journey filled with a wealth of unforgettable experiences, but we will not have enough time to do everything suggested above! If your heart is set on some specific activity, be sure to tell us about it so we can do our best to create the opportunity.
We leave the itinerary details up to our guests, while taking weather into account. Once you come aboard, everyone will meet to discuss possibilities. We are usually very active in a relaxed manner and we like to immerse in the wildlife and culture of the places visited without having to worry about a strict, regimented schedule. We’ll all talk about what everyone likes and tailor the journey accordingly. We usually end up with a lively itinerary, and include the best dive spots and nature sites of each area. Each island has its own personality and unique things to do.

Infinity is a fully-equipped 36 meter sailing expedition vessel on an ongoing voyage since 2003. She has traveled to over 2 dozen countries in both the North and South Pacific and in Southeast Asia and she has sailed amongst icebergs, penguins, and orcas in the Ross Sea, Antarctica, and Patagonia. She is crewed by a multicultural team with a contagiously positive vibe together with Captain Clemens Oestreich, who has skippered vessels for over 100,000 miles during the last 20 years, while raising his 5 children at sea. Infinity is built to be a world-traveling base for adventure and environmental work, forming a beautiful home with unique history and personality. The living quarters are designed with comfortable guest cabins and large communal spaces including an airy saloon, cinema, and extensive deck space. To date, over 200 crew members from all around the world have been part of many extraordinary adventures. They dove with wales and sharks, participated in environmental outreach and even battled deep-sea oil drilling companies. Infinity is open to guests for the first time this year.
