Your sailing trip
Have you ever dreamt of a sailing holiday in the South Pacific? This is your chance to spend 3 weeks sailing, surfing, and diving in the Coral Sea.
Fiji is very diverse in its cultural experience. The islanders love socialising and commonly do so around a big kava bowl late into the night. If your pace is relaxed, those gatherings can be very enjoyable and are often filled with stories and laughter.
When we visit remote Fijian islands we have to meet with the chief and do a Sevu Sevu local welcome ceremony, and guests are usually welcome to participate. Traditional Fijian food consists of all kinds of dishes like fresh fish, vegetables and more with fresh coconut cream wrapped in banana leaves and slow-cooked on hot rocks. Half of Fiji’s population originates from India so they also make an important part of the vibrant multicultural society. We will spend the majority of our time enjoying the wildlife in remote waters between the reefs. Occasionally we’ll stop at an anchorage with comfortable amenities like Malolo Island or near towns and villages. Malolo has lovely resorts and cocktail bars and is the center hub for the world-cruising yachties. Plus there is amazing kiteboarding on a sand spit, and the northern reefs of Fiji have spectacular dropoff dives where we’ve sighted whales and dolphins many times. The Coral Sea is littered with beautiful dive and snorkel spots, and some areas of Fiji have incredible surf. It’s so good that even for non-surfers it’s amazing to see the breaking waves from close quarters. To see a colorful mix of tropical islands, unique and diverse culture, and abundant marine wildlife, join Infinity in Fiji!
We leave the itinerary details up to our guests, while taking weather into account. Once you come aboard, everyone will meet to discuss possibilities. We are usually very active in a relaxed manner and we like to immerse in the wildlife and culture of the places visited without having to worry about a strict, regimented schedule. We’ll all talk about what everyone likes to do and tailor the journey accordingly. We create a lively itinerary and include the best dive spots and nature sites of each area. Each island has its own personality and unique things to do.
- See Savusavu’s Nakawaka Waterfall, or hike through the rainforests and jungles.
- Enjoy Nananuira’s kitesurfing paradise, wild horses, and pristine reefs.
- Sail among the lonely islands and lovely villages of the Yasawa Islands. Cross the partially uncharted Coral Sea to hang out in some of the world’s best surf spots, or just relax on the beach and enjoy the perfect tropical island getaway.
- Explore the bustling Viti Levu. Visit local markets, drink the kava with the islanders, hike, and try local Fijian sugar cane rum. There is also the Sabeto hot springs and mud pool, the Sigatoka sand dunes, Natadola beach, or Robinson Crusoe Island.
- Sail to the Mamanutha Islands where you can surf Malolo island barrier reef’s world famous spots, drink cocktails with fellow sailors, or trek to see panoramic views of the beautiful islands.
- Visit Nandi, where you can see the Navala village or the Sri Siva Subramaniya temple.
On board you can also participate in sailing classes, dive courses, cooking workshops, yoga, or other activities.
You could spend a year on the islands and still wouldn’t have seen everything. To make the most of what Fiji and the Coral Sea have to offer, we recommend giving yourself plenty of extra time outside of the voyage or combine Infinity trips for a longer stay. We will have a wonderful journey filled with a wealth of unforgettable experiences, but we will not have enough time to do everything suggested above! If your heart is set on some specific activity, be sure to tell us about it so we can do our best to create the opportunity.
