Catamaran Sailing Cruise From Capo d'Orlando

A spectacular cruise in the heart of the Mediterranean to be enchanted by the pearls of Sicily.

For a boating holiday on the Aeolian islands you can start from the modern marina di Capo d'Orlando, facing the Aeolian archipelago and during the cruise, you can fully enjoy the natural beauty of these wonderful volcanic islands, which despite being all nearby 'to each other, retain a different appearance and character.
The Aeolian Islands are unique, spectacular and offer a variety of interesting activities, both on land and at sea.
Excursions on volcanoes, trekking routes for all levels with a guide, dinners of fresh fish at sunset on the sea, diving and snorkeling to discover the seabed, peripheral inlets and sea caves of unique charm, are just a few wonderful things that can be appreciated on a holiday in the Aeolian Islands.

You really shouldn't miss this tour through the seven pearls of the archipelago:

Vulcano, Lipari, Salina, Filicudi, Alicudi, Panarea and Stromboli.

Vulcano will fascinate you with its warm thermal waters, black sand, and mud baths ("Pozza dei Fanghi"). But it will also satisfy trekking enthusiasts, it is in fact possible to climb to the top of the volcano and appreciate unique geological formations of their kind.

Those who love art can visit the Castle of Lipari, the largest of the Aeolian Islands, as well as its Norman cathedral, and the Archaeological Museum. But Lipari is also famous for shopping.

Salina is the greenest of the islands, with 80% of its territory in the form of a nature reserve. Trekking lovers can try their hand through excursions through the woods to the top of Mount Felci, the ancient dormant volcano in Salina, from which they will enjoy a breathtaking view of the whole archipelago.

The island of Salina is renowned for the production of " capers " and " Malvasia ", a characteristic wine with a very sweet and aromatic flavor obtained from raisins, vaguely similar to passito. One of the most suggestive places on the island is the bay of Pollara, which is located inside an ancient crater largely collapsed into the sea. Also in Pollara, it is possible to see, from a distance, the house where the film "Il Postino" was shot, with Philippe Noiret in the part of Pablo Neruda and the unforgettable Massimo Troisi in the part of the postman.

Alicudi and Filicudi, wild and lonely, only recently reached by electricity. The permanent inhabitants are very few and along the paths, we move on foot or on the back of a mule. A jump into the past.

Panarea is famous for its elite tourism and as a traditional destination for celebrities and famous people. But Panarea is also particularly attractive in its natural and archaeological beauties, crystal clear sea, enchanting bays, alleys and white houses. Not far from Punta Milazzese, there are some ruins of a prehistoric village.

Finally, we will head to the farthest of the islands, Stromboli which with its active volcano that has enchanted visitors for 2000 years. Lava flows are channeled along a steep road to the sea called Sciara del Fuoco. Pure emotion!

There is no moment of the day when it is possible to forget that this island is, first of all, an active volcano or Iddu as the islanders call it, on whose margin, a microscopic piece of land, men settled almost by accident, creating small settlements of houses of a dazzling white that contrast with the beach of black sand-like coal, with the lava stones scattered everywhere, with the lava stone ridges.

The sea is cobalt blue so deep that it inevitably evokes a primordial landscape, shaped by lava. It is also beautiful to walk in the alleys at sunset, characterized by craft shops, restaurants and refined boutiques.

Itinerary

Day 1
Boarding in Capo d'Orlando at 5:30 pm
Check in at 17:30 in Capo d'orlando. A bay that seems out of time, black beach and crystal clear purple water, a wild nature made of prickly pears, capers and wild goats that love to go down to the water. The island is formed by four volcanoes, of which only one in activity, the last eruption was in 1888, it lasted four years, volcanic manifestations are still present.
Day 2
Vulcano Island
With the possibility of bathing in the famous thermal "Pozza" located a few steps from the port, continuously fed by countless bubbles from which sulfurous vapors, brackish water, and clay mud come out. Continue to Lipari. We recommend a visit to the characteristic town of Marina Corta. Also not to be missed is a visit to the Castle, the Norman Cathedral, and the archaeological museum. Lipari is the largest of the seven Aeolian islands and one of the crossroads of the Mediterranean since prehistoric times.
Day 3
Panarea
Panarea has now become the island of VIPs, the international jet set meets every year on this small and enchanting island, with white and blue alleys and characteristic clubs. It has been inhabited since prehistoric times. At the southern end of the island, on the promontory of Punta Milazzese, a prehistoric village dating back to the Bronze Age has been found. Stroll through the characteristic alleys of Panarea, the most exclusive and transgressive island. Marine tour in crystal clear waters between islets and submarine sulphates.
Day 4
Stromboli
According to legend, was the place chosen as the home by the god Aeolus and the color of some areas of the island confirms the exact poetic image of Homer. Certainly the explosions of the crater were one of the most famous lighthouses in ancient times for anyone sailing in the Tyrrhenian Sea. One of the most fascinating events on the island is certainly the Sciara del Fuoco, the lava flow that descends to the sea. The volcanic explosions with a jet of lapillus incandescent to great heights and which illuminate the sky in red, occur all year round and never disappoint anyone. It is possible to go to the top of the crater (3 hours march about, absolutely recommended) where you can admire the continuous explosions, located not far from the path, and it is good to be accompanied by a guide. But Stromboli also offers very characteristic villages where it is pleasant to walk immersed in an absolutely suggestive atmosphere.
Day 5
Salina Island
Derives its name from a saltwater mirror located in the southern part of the island, which was once used as a salt pan. The island is essentially composed of two former volcanoes. In ancient times, precisely because of this characteristic, it was called Dydime, "the double". Exploration of the north coast with the characteristic village of Malfa and stop for a swim in the splendid scenery of the Pollara bay , the place where the film "The postman" was shot. In the evening en route to the characteristic village of Santa Marina and Lingua,
Day 6
Lipari Island
Filicudi and Alicudi , the wild heart of the Aeolian Islands. Even today these islands are felt as remote islands, even by the inhabitants of Lipari. In fact, what makes them feel distant is not so much the distance but something deeper: it is a distance in time, in the way of being of the island and its people, it is distance from the common world. Stop for a swim before and after lunch in the most characteristic points of these wonderful islands, with a visit to the suggestive Grotta del Bue Marino, with blue water that cannot be bluer. The undertow of the sea and the rustling of the wind on the vegetation are the only sounds you will hear in Alicudi. Given the particular conformation of the terrain, there are no roads or carriageways and, therefore, also cars, mopeds, and bicycles. To face the lava stone stairways that climb everywhere, you rely on your own feet and the cute donkeys or mules that are raised on the island and bear the weight of goods and luggage from the port to the houses scattered on the slope.
Day 7
Capo D'Orlando
Return to Capo d'Orlando exploring and stopping in the most beautiful bays on the west coast of Filicudi, Lipari and Vulcano, where you will say goodbye to the Aeolian islands with a swim in the " Piscina di Venere " an absolutely magical place. SATURDAY Check out at 9:00 in Capo d'Orlando

Lagoon 42

A SLEEK, MODERN DESIGN. This new member of the Lagoon family has style and a strong personality

This fresh member of the Lagoon family has type and a strong personality. While keeping a family resemblance and retaining the main special of the latest generation of Lagoons, it shows us a fresh path: unhurried evolution, a fresh "organic" approach, in search of harmony between living space and man.An elegant silhouette, flowing curves which, by virtue of a noticeable acceleration of the lines in the bows and in the fresh coachroof design, emphasise the powerful and dynamic nature of this fresh model.
An ingenious deck layout: The mast moved further aft and the self-tacking jib, a assurance of performance under sail and ease of handling, provide the ability to bring all operations together in one place.
An ergonomic helming station at the coachroof bulkhead, offering many advantages:direct communication between the cockpit and bar, improved circulation, forward and aft of the helming station, direct access to the coachroof for easier access to the boom,a composite bimini with a sliding panel to ensure a good view of the sails, a closure panel for helming station safety when under way.
A cosy cockpit, with smooth, elegant curves:a single level from the aft floor to the bar: a structural "revolution",entirely fresh ergonomics that ensure excellent use of space and ease of circulation on board,a large glazed door that occupies the entire width of the coachroof, and provides access to the unparalleled interior volumes. The suspended steps at the transom provide a whole fresh perception of the vessel: a continuous, wide and inviting floor, worthy of a large vessel.
