The cruise that heads onto Fethiye, the most famous Blue Cruise leaving Olympos, runs onto Fethiye. Taking four days and three nights, this cruise highlights most people's time in Turkey. The cruise has something for everyone; whether it is the ancient sights or the beautiful turquoise waters for your swimming and snorkeling, no one will be disappointed.
You leave Olympos / Demre Harbour bound for the famous Sunken City of Kekova and Simena Castle. This will be one of the many highlights of your Turkey gulet holidays experience. You will spend the day in the Kekova area before visiting the little fishing village of Kas on the following day. There is time for shopping and plenty of swimming on your gulet cruise. The next day you will wake up in Butterfly Valley, where you can hike or enjoy the view. You will then cruise past Europe's most photographed beach, Oludeniz, anchoring on the backside of the Blue Lagoon before you finally anchor down at St Nicholas Island, where you can go and explore the ruins and enjoy your last night on board. Throughout your Gulet cruise, you and the other guests will be offered the chance to undertake some optional activities of paragliding and diving; you will get the opportunity to relax and swim in some stunning bays while enjoying the whole time plentiful Turkish dishes and hospitality.
You will be traveling on a standard Turkish gulet – a yacht. The gulet is equipped with everything you need for your days and nights onboard. You will have ensuite private bathrooms in each cabin and plenty of space inside to store your bags. Your Blue Cruise will end in Fethiye harbor on the fourth day around lunchtime. The Olympos to Fethiye blue cruise route is Turkey's most popular gulet cruise route because of the variety of particular destination sites this coastline includes. The coastline keeps relics from the ancient Lycians, Ottomans, Romans, and Greeks, making your gullet cruise turkey experience unforgettable.
Itinerary
Day1
Olympos/Demre -> Gokkaya Bay
At around 10:30 a.m. our ground team will pick you up in front of Bayram's Tree Houses, our meeting point in Olympos. We will have another pickup from Olympos Junction at 10:45 - 11:00 am for all other locations. We will set off by land to Demre, where we will do another pickup at noon at Demre bus station. All guests will then be transferred to Demre Cayagzi Harbor. We will check in with the gulet and brief you about your cruise. Lunch will be served shortly afterward.
Our first sight for the day is the Sunken City, an ancient town that dates back 2000 years to the Lycian period and was destroyed by an earthquake in the 2nd century. We will cruise over this protected World Heritage site friendly and slowly to enjoy the view; however, as this is a protected sight, no swimming, diving, or snorkeling is allowed. Following this, we will anchor down near Kekova and the island of Kalekoy to visit Simena Castle. Guests can walk through the town's cobbled streets or head into the castle to witness some fantastic views of the Kekova region.
Day2
Gokkaya Bay -> Aquarium Bay
Today you will cruise onto Kas, a small fishing village with some of the best shopping in the area and incredibly unique jewelry pieces. You will be given time to explore the local shops, including lots of handmade jewelry, clothes stores, and some local cafes for a great brew of coffee.
Optional Activity: Diving
For those interested in the optional diving activity, you will be transferred
to the diving boat to go scuba diving in what is said to be the best place to dive in Southern Turkey. There are some excellent spots to see marine life, rock coral, and even a wreck. We recommend booking this optional activity online before your cruise to receive an online discount and guarantee your dive. After your time in Kas, we will cruise past Kalkan and moor in Aquarium Bay for the night.
Day3
Aquarium Bay -> St Nicholas Island
This morning wake up to the vivid blue sea and find yourself in Butterfly Valley. Wake yourself up with a morning swim, have breakfast, and then take the optional hike to the waterfall. Butterfly Valley is known to be the home to over 136 different types of butterflies and moths; in the summer months, they can be challenging to spot, though, as they search for cooler climates deeper in the valley.
For lunch, we will moor near the Blue Lagoon in Oludeniz. There is much swimming here, and most venture into the Blue Lagoon over the rocks. Oludeniz Beach and the Blue Lagoon are among the most photographic beaches in the world due to the thousands that paraglide here each year.
Optional Activity: Paragliding Blue Lagoon
Paragliding is an optional activity at this stop. We recommend pre-booking this activity online for special rates or with our friendly office crew. However, if you decide while here that this is the activity for you, please let your captain know. We will moor at St Nicholas Island, where you will have time to walk through the island's ruins and enjoy the sunset. Watch for the watersport boats around this area for an afternoon of fun on the water!
4.Day - St Nicholas Island -> Fethiye
Your last day on the gulet will be an excellent and lazy start. You will wake up at St Nicholas Island, where you can enjoy another morning swim. Lots of fish are in this area too, so why not throw a hand line in to see what you can add to lunch? We have breakfast before cruising around one of the bays near Fethiye for lunch and a final swim. The gulet will enter Fethiye Harbour around 1:00 - 2:00 pm after lunchtime. You will disembark the gulet and say farewell to new-found friends and your friendly crew.
Please note Transfer services onto Fethiye Hotels are omitted. We will have a crew member meet the gulet shall you wish to organize onward travel or transfers.
IMPORTANT NOTICE All efforts are made to follow this itinerary; however, in poor weather and sea conditions, this schedule may change at Captain's discretion. Our passenger's safety is our number one priority. This could include daily destinations as well as overnight stops. If these situations arise, all efforts will be made to consult customers on alternative options. No money will be refunded.
