A seven-day island hopping sailing holiday from Marina Gouvia in Corfu, exploring the sheltered waters of the southern Ionian Sea, from the sea caves of Paxos to the turquoise bays of Antipaxos and the Venetian harbor of Parga.
The cruise departs from Marina Gouvia on the eastern coast of Corfu, one of the largest sailing bases in the Ionian Islands, and works its way south through the archipelago before returning north along the mainland coast. The route covers Corfu, Syvota, Paxos, Antipaxos and Parga in a circuit that fits comfortably within a week of sailing.
Navigation in the southern Ionian is generally sheltered and manageable, with shorter distances between destinations and more predictable summer conditions than the more exposed Cyclades. Day1
Corfu and Boarding at Marina Gouvia
Boarding takes place at Marina Gouvia, with time to settle into the cabins and a welcome briefing covering safety, the navigation plan and life on board. Depending on arrival time and conditions, the boat may leave the marina for a short afternoon sail along the eastern coast of Corfu before anchoring in a protected bay for the evening, with dinner either on board or ashore in a nearby village.

Corfu to Syvota
The first full day of sailing follows the eastern coastline of Corfu south, with green hills, hidden coves and clear water offering several opportunities for a swim stop along the way. Crossing toward the mainland, the boat reaches Syvota, a natural harbor enclosed by pine-covered islets and known for its calm, sheltered atmosphere. The evening is spent strolling along the waterfront and eating at one of the local tavernas above the harbor.
Day3
Syvota to Paxos
After breakfast, the route heads south toward Paxos, crossing open water with wide views across the Ionian. The approach to the island passes dramatic limestone cliffs and sea caves along the western coastline, with a possible swim stop before continuing to Gaios, the island's capital, known for its narrow lanes, Venetian architecture and easy harbor atmosphere. Paxos is consistently one of the highlights of the southern Ionian week.

Paxos and Antipaxos
A short morning sail leads to Antipaxos, a small island with almost no permanent settlement and some of the clearest, most turquoise water in the Ionian Sea, with white sandy seabeds visible through considerable depth. The day is given over entirely to swimming, snorkeling and time at anchor in the island's secluded bays. The overnight anchorage is in a sheltered spot between Paxos and Antipaxos.

Antipaxos to Parga
Leaving the islands, the route crosses toward the mainland and the town of Parga, built in a crescent around a protected bay with a Venetian castle above the headland. Narrow streets, waterfront cafés and a lively harbor atmosphere make it the most vibrant stop on the mainland section of the route. Guests can explore the historic center, swim from nearby beaches or follow the path up to the castle for views over the surrounding coast before returning to the boat for the evening.
Day6
Parga to Kalami or Petriti
The return leg heads north toward Corfu, with the final overnight stop at either Petriti, a traditional fishing village on the island's southern coast, or Kalami, a sheltered bay set among olive-covered hills on the northeastern side. The choice depends on weather conditions and the preference of the group. The day is one of the slower ones in the week, with time for swimming, paddleboarding and a relaxed pace before the final return to the marina.
Day7
Return to Marina Gouvia, Corfu
After a leisurely breakfast and, weather permitting, a last swim stop in one of the bays along Corfu's eastern coastline, the boat returns to Marina Gouvia during the afternoon. The final night is spent on board, with disembarkation taking place the following morning after breakfast.
