New Year's Eve Paradise Sailing: San Blas Islands
Sailing experience around the beautiful islands of San Blas, a full immersion in nature!

The Archipelago of San Blas is characterized by a wild and pristine environment. It is one of the last slices of true paradise of the planet and  inhabited only by the indigenous population of the Kuna.

Even if you will not find the normal amenities and life is more naturally oriented in the San Blas Archipelago, you will experience a sailing holiday fully immersed in nature.

Life on board is shared in all its many aspects and small daily tasks our aim is for full socialization and a casual and homey atmosphere. We welcome everyone from beginners to experienced sailors to enjoy life on the boat, wake up to the fresh sea breeze and relax in the sun or explore the surrounding scenery and attractions. There is enough to see!

Ale the Kuna  run some bars and restaurants on different islands where you can get a delicious local meal.

Itinerary
Day 1
Flight and arrival in Panama City
Arrival at the international airport of Tocuman. Check in at the hotel ****, overnight in B / B. The dinner will be at the hotel (on request) or at one of several restaurants in the "Casco Viejo", or along the central Via Argentina ... and we are in Panama City, so let's have fun together!!
Day 2
In off-road through Panama- San Blas Archipelago
Breakfast and transfer in the early morning (around 06:00 am) off-road, to the village of Carti, on the opposite sidr of the Atlantic coast (2:30 travel). This will symbolically cross the American continents at the narrowest point. Entrance in the park of the Kuna Indians, Native Americans inhabiting this stretch of coast and all the surrounding islands. Once in Carti we will board a speedboat that will take us directly to the boat which will be in Checheme or Limon east; typically around 12 o'clock we will on board ready for our furst swim in the crystal clear waters of the Islands. Briefing with the skipper and start of a relaxing day. First night at anchor under the stars.
Day 3
From day 3 to day 8
Our aim will be to sail around the islands and islets that litter the archipelago with days full of relaxation, sun, sea and swims in the beautiful archipelago of the San Blas Islands; the sailing area we will cover is the one described by a quadrangle between the archipelago of Porvenir, the coastal islands of Carti, Rio Diablo and Hollandes Reef. Navigation will be in the western quadrant of the large archipelago of San Blas, which for convenience is genwrally divided into the western side, central and eastern.
Day 9
Return to Panama City
Transfer at 09:00 am, first with a speedboat to the coast, then by jeep to Panama City. Free time to visit the capital, we recommend a visit to the colonial district, the ruins of Panama Viejo, the old city sacked and destroyed by the famous pirate Henry Morgan in the seventeenth century and the Cangrejo district, with the market of Artesania. Overnight at the hotel.
Yacht
Micamale is a stylish modern sailboat, built in 2006. She has been kept in a wonderful condition, has brand new sails and has had lots of recent re-servicing. Micamale offers great sailing performance and comfortable living accommodations

Micamale includes 4 double-bed private cabins and 4 en suite bathrooms with showers. The cabins are fitted with a fan, reading lights, plenty of storage space and an opening hatch. The boat is extremely spacious throughout, especially in the large salon area which boasts L-shaped leather sofas and a wide dining table for enjoying meals with family and friends. Outside there is a spacious cockpit seating and fold-out dining table and the flush deck provides plenty of room for relaxing and sunbathing. Micamale is a boat of comfort and luxury.
She is also very safe. With a reduced mast size, she can take strong winds without having to reduce the main sail. She has a strong motor to avoid or get out of difficult situations (such as very strong wind). She is fitted with an EPIRB, VHS radio, 2 GPS, automatic pilot, and a recently checked life raft.Micamale includes 4 double-bed private cabins and 4 en suite bathrooms with showers. Organizer tips
Eating in San Blas Islands
The larger villages in San Blas have small restaurants with limited menus. Villages also have small grocery stores that sell basic food items and beverages. The Guna run some bars and restaurants on different islands where you can get a delicious local meal. The Guna gathers this local food from the rich sea around the islands of San Blas. Take note that you’re not allowed to catch fish yourself or collect coconuts from the islands of San Blas. A traditional meal that is served all year round is the Red Snapper with coconut-flavored rice. The Red Snapper is caught on the same day that it is to be eaten because the Guna avoid over fishing so the sea maintains its rich environment. Don’t expect a small Red Snapper like in restaurants at home, these are really big and to be shared between 2-3 people. You can buy fresh delicious lobster that has not been in contact with polluted water. Crabs are also on the menu, as are other fish, but they do not always serve these foods to tourists or those outside of the Guna communities because they believe the fish to be holy creatures that should be respected. Vegetarian options will be available on the boat and at your meal onshore.
Activities
Guna Yala’s magnificent views
Once the boat is moored, masks, tubes and fins are available for you to snorkel between the reefs and wrecks, admiring starfishes and rainbow fishes and a lot more. If you are lucky, you can even admire eagle rays, barracudas, nurse sharks, clown fish, parrot fish and dolphins! The reef has plenty of colours and it’s another reason to snorkel under the San Blas sea: Guna Yala’s magnificent views are never too deep, so you will never miss your scuba gear.
