Come to enjoy a whole week in Ibiza & Formentera on board of a gorgeus sailboat, sailing from Valencia living on board ship.
We meet us on Saturday afternoon, sail to Ibiza and Formentera all week and we coming back to Valencia the next Friday in the afternoon. It is possible to spend one night sleeping onboard until Saturday morning.
Itinerary
Day1
Saturday
Shipment in the Marina Real Juan Carlos I Valencia. Reception of the crew, presentations, briefing about the trip, rules of co-habitation and security, and supply of the sailboat for all week. With the instructions of the skipper we could elaborate the shopping list and we will go to buy to the supermarket. Returned at the sailboat, we stow all things onboard.
Close to midnight, about 23pm, after to have our dinner, we set sail course Ibiza with destination Cala Benirrás. In June, while we are leaving Valencia, we could watch from our sailboats the fireworks which offer us town council all Saturdays at 00:00pm
We sail all night (about 12 hours of cruise). Most of the crew can sleep. Anyone who wish it, they could participate in the roster guards in the cockpit during the cruise. It is very usual to watch dolphins... Believe me... it is a magic moment!
Day2
Sunday
We wake up while we are just approaching to the island of Ibiza, near of Cala Benirras, where we enjoy the rest of the day, swim, siesta and in the afternoon we could see the sunset in the beach. Cala Benirras is a little bay, surrounded by nature, forest and protected between hills. This is a magic time to meet all together, on the beach, the crews from all sailboats to watch the spectacular sunset in an ambient of Ibiza party, environment to the tumultuous and improvised hippie drums show, Tamborada, here every Sunday. Later we can visit the hippie flea market and take a drink in beach bars. The night party with the drums setting, surrounded of uncountable crowd, is a unique experience
Day3
Monday
After to have a breakfast, and take a morning bath in the clear waters, we can watch the fish between rocks or go diving in a near interesting little cave. After a while we set our course towards Ensenada d´Abarca. This is a bay less travelled by tourists where is really difficult to access from land, because in this place there aren´t roads neither buildings. Furthermore it is surrounded by mountains and for a gorgeous natural landscape where the access is exclusive only by boat. In that place we can jump to the sea, practise snorkel, have a lunch and relax us.
After have a lunch, we set sail with course to San Antonio de Portmany to spend the night in its bay. But no very late, as we have enough time to arrive to Cafe del Mar, to watch the famous sunset, in first line, among thousands people. Finally we go to have a meetup in a beautiful restaurant called Villa Mercedes, where we celebrate a multitudinous dinner where we will participate among all crews from all boats of our vessels.
Anyone who wish it, they could go later toward the city of Ibiza or go some other discotheques, for their own means . Also they we can stay in San Antonio and enjoy the lively night party in this town and interact with other crew who remains there.
Day4
Tuesday
In the morning we will sail to Cala d´Hort, front to island Es Vedrá, where we will anchor, have a lunch and take a bath. After to have our lunch we set sail course to Port Roig.
In the afternoon, just anchored in Port Roig, we can watch other amazing sunset from our sailboats. At midnight, after to have our dinner, we will go ashore in our auxiliary dinghy, and anyone who wishes could take a bus rented between all crew which take us to Ibiza city, where we could enjoy of famous discotheques of the island of Ibiza, like Pacha.
Day5
Wednesday
We get up and travel to S´Espalmador. This place is a little island located between Ibiza and Formentera, which is famous for his mud bath and for the amazing beach which look like from Caribbean or Polynesia. We are in the Parque Natural de Ses Sailnes, so we must behave to leave the environment like we found at our arrive. The island is inhabited and we must get something to drink from our boats. We can´t leave rubbish in the island.
After that, we will anchor in Cala Saona, in Formentera, to have our lunch, where we have a bath in its clear turquoise-colour waters. This little bay is some of most beautiful we can visit.
In Cala Saona we spend around 24 hours, until lunch time on Thursday. Free time: We have free the afternoon and the morning Thursday. We can rent a motorcycle or bikes to tour Formentera. A good option, on Wednesday in the afternoon, is go to visit "El Faro de La Mola", it is a lighthouse, a magic place where Julio Verne took his inspiration. We mustn’t leave without visit the flea market of La Mola: All Wednesday and Sunday, from June until October, from 16:00h until 21:00h, "Fira de La Mola" receives the artisan centre and the artisan works with different materials like wood, silver, stone... Even more there are stands where we can buy artesian products very sundry and high quality, and there is a good atmosphere and We can frequently enjoy music show on live!
An advice: if you don´t have practise or you don´t feel comfortable riding in motorbike, the best way is to rent a car between some crew members, as if you don´t have practice on motorbikes,it is very easy to suffer small crashes.
Day6
Thursday
In the morning we will visit with the motorbikes the rest of Formentera. We could visit Illetas, Salinas or "El faro del Cap de Berbería" for example.
In the afternoon we set sail to the island of Ibiza again, and a good option is Cala Jondal, where if the sea condition allowed us, we will anchor to spend our last hours in Ibiza and have a few drinks in Blue Marlin, trendy beach bar with beautiful people and the greatest exponent of Ibiza party, where most of costumers visit it from boats, thanks at its taxi-boat service and access by a nice berth. Is very easy to find VIPs as neighbours of anchor or in the same bar alike.
After have a few drinks, we come back to have a dinner in our boat if we haven’t ashore. Before, we must start to cruise back Valencia.
Day7
Friday - Saturday
Early morning, over at 3 am or 4a.m, we set course to Valencia, arriving in the port in the early afternoon. Once ashore, we can primp ourselves to go out for dinner with all the fleet crew members in some of restaurants near of Marina Real.
Saturday at 8am in the morning we say farewell and end of our marvellous holidays in sailboat to Ibiza and Formentera, and therefore end our services. The costumers are kindly requested to adhere at this deadline at 8:00 a.m., because at this time will start the cleaning and maintenance services to prepare the sailboat to the next crew the coming week, as they will arrive a few hours before.
