Sailing Cruise in Aegadian Islands from Marsala

Favignana is the largest of the Egadi, owes its name to the wind Favonius. Its shape resembles a butterfly with outspread wings. The island is famous for tuna fishing, every year in the period between April and July renews the tradition of the Tonnara and the Mattanza. The only town, built on an inlet called Cala Principale, pointe extended Stack Rock in Punta S. Nicola, is also the port. The cobbled streets, the picturesque square of Madrice with its cafes and the charm of the old port make Favignana a delightful stopover.

Marettimo is the westernmost of the archipelago. You will sail to Punta Tramontana, where you can enjoy a beautiful bay called "The Cathedral", for the cliff that reaches the sea and the large bays that recall that image. At Cala del Porto in the summer you can find a small restaurant on the shore. Don't forget to reserve the local restaurant for the famous Lobster Soup.

Levanzo is the smallest of the three Egadi islands, the one with the lowest number of inhabitants and the almost total lack of vehicles. Definitely worth visiting the Genovese Cave, where there are traces of the earliest human settlements in the Egadi (visit the grotto with the prehistoric graffiti. The population is condensed in a lovely village on the southern coast, in a bay called Cala Dogana. This stop, single point of landing is unforgettable.
