The Ionean Sea is covered in evergreen pine forests. Trees overhang the quiet coves we sail into, providing perfect shade for midday picnics and siestas. See below a brief outline of the Greek islands and ports we enjoy sailing to most.
We will visit most of the following islands and ports Lefkas town, Scorpion (Onasis island), Nidri, Meganisi, Syvota, Vasiliki, Frikies (Ithaka), Kioni (Ithaka), Vathy (Ithaka), Fiscardo (Kefalonia), Agia Efimia (Kefalonia). The whole area is unique with over 40 miles of sandy beaches, secluded coves, beautiful bays, turquoise waters and incredible archeological, historical and religious interest.
On your cabin charter holiday you decide to be as active or passive as you like. Whatever your desire from sun bathing or reading to setting the sails -the choice is yours.
Skippers are highly trained and speak English. They can tell you a lot about Greek culture and history as well as sailing. They will help you improve your sailing skills and welcome you to take the helm from time to time.
We spend one or two days on each island. You have plenty of time to buy local goods, explore ancient site, and sample local produce – wine, cheeses or to relax on secluded beaches.
You will have hostess onboard to prepare breakfast and light lunch daily. In the evenings you can eat at the local tavernas where the quality of food is excellent and prices very affordable. Ask your skipper to recommend the best restaurant or taverna.

Preveza
Our main base in the IONIAN SEA is located at Preveza, which is a coastal town with an island flair, built at the entrance of Amvrakikos Gulf located at the double delta of the rivers Louros and Arachthos along with the lagoon complex that has a rare ecosystem protected by the RAMSAR international treaty. Amvrakikos is famous for its marine life with hundrends of dolphins permanately living in the gulf as well as turtles, many kinds of different fish (prawns, lobsters etc.) and birds that create a beautiful natural environment. Day trips could be organised by us on request, prior to embarkation or your disembarkation (fees apply). On these day trips you can have a very enjoyable time watching dolphins feeding and the glorious marine life of Amvrakikos and having a relaxing day on peaceful waters. Also Preveza is a modern town, administrative, commercial, intellectual and tourist center of the prefecture. Beautiful, traditional buildings adorn the port and the historical center while the pedestrian walkways and cobblestone streets lined with popular taverns, cafès and bars creating a Greek island effect.
Sailing normally commences the next morning after the day of your arrival, when all port formalities and sailing papers have been signed by the local authorities and a safety briefing has been carried out by your crew.

Famous for some of the best beaches and resorts in Greece, lively Nidri, peaceful Agios Nikitas, Vassiliki, Agia Eufimia. Spectacular scenery of forested mountains and the turquoise waters of Ionian Sea.
Day3
Ithaka
Famous all over the world as the mythical island of Odysseus, Ithaca charms visitors with the laid-back island, the blue green water and the lush greenery. Swim in the crystal water, have your meal in fish taverns and chat with the welcoming locals.
Day4
Meganisi
The island of Meganisi is located just between Lefkada and the western mainland coasts of Greece. This is an island with few population and limited tourist development. Vathy and Spartochoti are the most picturesque village of Meganisi island and its port receives many private yachts in summer. Vathi, a fishing village, now one of the most famous touristic resorts in the Ionian Sea. The harbor keeps its traditional character even if it has become a favorite mooring of yachts and sailing vessels due to the organized marina operates there.Spartochori, a traditional village with stone houses, small courtyards and narrow cobbled streets, is built on a hill and beyond the main road, a path full of green, hiding in its path the Cave of the Cyclops, that joins its seaport, Spilia. Katomeri, built east, also a traditional village overlooking the bay of Atherinos, waiting for you to walk through the narrow alleys and chat with the hospitable inhabitants.The island retains its traditional character with its picturesque villages, its harbors, the old windmills linked with myths and local legends and the scattered chapels.

Kefalonia
This green island with breathtaking beaches and crystal clear waters of greenish-blue colours will leave you speechless. Kefalonia glows in the Ionian Sea and carries a rich history in cultural tradition. It’s the biggest Ionian Island and the green of its mountains blend with the blue of the water making it truly unique and a beloved destination. You might even get the chance to encounter the rare, caretta caretta, sea turtles that take refuge here, as well as the monk seals monachus monachus.
