Your sailing trip
An island-hopping sailing holiday from Athens through the Saronic Gulf, exploring Aegina, Hydra, Poros, Ermioni, Epidavros and Agistri with swim stops, culture and authentic Greek experiences.
This itinerary sails through the Saronic Gulf, the stretch of sea closest to Athens, starting and ending in the same marina and covering a circuit of islands and coastal towns within a relatively compact, sheltered cruising ground.
Distances between stops stay short throughout the week, with mostly downwind conditions and protected waters that suit both first time sailors and more experienced travelers, leaving plenty of time each day for swimming and time ashore rather than long passages.
The islands themselves vary considerably over a short distance, from Aegina's pine covered hills and ancient ruins to Hydra's bare, rocky profile rising steeply from a harbor with no roads, and the greener, more wooded landscapes of Poros and Agistri.
Each stop carries its own character, Aegina's Temple of Aphaia, Hydra's car free streets and stone mansions, Poros's clock tower above the harbor, and Epidavros's ancient theatre, regarded as one of the best preserved in Greece. Evenings generally move between quiet coastal towns and livelier harbors, with traditional tavernas a constant throughout the week.
Days tend to follow a similar pattern, a swim stop or two during the morning sail, lunch either at anchor or ashore, and an afternoon arrival that leaves time to explore before dinner, with the rhythm shifting gently between quieter islands and busier harbor towns as the week progresses.

Onboard life stays informal and social, with wide outdoor spaces built for moving easily between meals, sunbathing and watching the coastline go by.
A shaded cockpit serves as the main outdoor dining area, paired with wide deck spaces well suited to relaxing at anchor between swim stops, while a bright saloon stays comfortable inside even on warmer days.
Cabins are designed for practical comfort over a week at sea, with private or shared accommodation available depending on the cabin category selected.
The stability and shallow draft typical of this type of boat make it easy to reach smaller bays and protected anchorages, with the onboard experience built around easy living and the rhythm of daily navigation rather than formal luxury cruising.
The exact catamaran assigned will be confirmed before departure, with comfort and onboard style kept consistent across the fleet.

Pack smart for your yacht charter: choose a soft bag instead of a hard suitcase, bring lightweight layers, reef-safe sunscreen, and non-slip shoes for onboard use. A couple of swimsuits and motion sickness remedies can also make a big difference. Each boat has limited storage, so pack light but wisely! Need help building the perfect list? Start your day with a swim in a quiet bay, sail to hidden beaches or seaside villages, and enjoy a slow lunch on deck. Afternoons mean snorkeling, sunbathing, or exploring ashore. As the sun sets, your boat anchors in a scenic cove or near a harbor ready for a relaxed dinner and a night under the stars. Curious about the full experience? On skipper-only charters, guests usually share cooking and cleaning duties think salads, pasta, and good teamwork. If there's a hostess, light meals and tidying are included, but it's still a casual, collaborative vibe. On fully crewed yachts, you’ll enjoy full service with a chef and crew managing everything.
