Cruise in sailboat in the heart of the Sporades islands - Greece - Lavrion / Lavrion

They are mountainous islands dispersed in an extraordinarily clear sea. To reach the Sporades, we will navigate north passing through the channel formed between the island of Euboea (to the east) and the Continental Greece (to the west).

Some islands that we will visit are: Skiathos - Skopelos - Alonnisos - Peristeri - Panayia - Skiros.
SKIATHOS
It is the only one closest to the mainland coast, and some call it the "Greek Riviera". Almost the entire population lives in the small town of Skiathos. In recent years the country of Skiathos has grown to become a sort of small Mikonos with nightclubs, bars and good restaurants open until late at night. During the summer the town is besieged by tourists attracted by the beautiful sandy beaches, however the atmosphere remains genuine and overall the inhabitants are friendly. In any case Skiathos can no longer be considered a peaceful place and those who want more peace and less confusion should head for the islands to the east.

SKOPELOS
Like Skiathos, also Skopelos is thickly covered with pine forests and very fertile - there are cultivated vineyards, olive trees, almond trees, pear trees, lemons and plums for which the island is renowned. It is grown more intensively than Skiathos and its inhabitants are more conservative. The capital is Skopelos on the east coast of the island.
Loutraki has become a small tourist resort and the quiet village of yore is now invaded a little by tourists from Skiathos, attracted by the beautiful beaches that extend to the south east of the marina. The new paved and shaded paths run around the port and lead to beachfront cafes in the village. The village above Glossa compensates the difficult climb, even just to go to the Agnanti restaurant where the view and the kitchen are magnificent.

ALONNISOS
Known in ancient times as Ilkos, this undulating and wooded island for transport relies indifferently on donkeys, gulets or motor vehicles. The old capital of Alonnisos, which rests on a hill south of the island, was almost abandoned following the violent earthquake of 1965. The inhabitants moved to Patitiri and Votsi, but then returned and renovated most of the houses in the village.
As for the other islands of the archipelago, the capital has been moved from the village on the hill to the port. Patitiri is a delightful place surrounded by cliffs and hills covered with pine trees that inevitably attract more and more tourists, but it still remains very beautiful.
Alonnisos has benefited (but only partially) from the "Mamma mia" effect which involved Skopelos and skiathos in particular, where he was physically shot. Here the sea is so transparent that one wonders whether it is real or not, it is a show of shades of each gradient that is worth the price to get here.

PERISTERI - PANAYIA - SKANTZOURA
Only sailors arrive to Peristeri. The islet of Peristeri is the border for the marine park of the northern sporades, the solitary kingdom of the monk seal, of the goats Kri Kri (ancient race), of the cormorants, of the partridges, of the white geese. With the exception of Piperi, in the heart of the park, where navigation is allowed only three miles away from its coast, all the islands in the park can be visited.
