A circular cabin charter sailing holiday from Lipari through the volcanic archipelago of the Aeolian Islands, combining swim stops in hidden coves, evening anchorages off Panarea and Stromboli, and the wilder, quieter character of Filicudi and Salina.
The cruise departs from Lipari, the largest and most populated island in the Aeolian archipelago, and follows a circular route west to Vulcano and Filicudi before returning east through Salina, Panarea and Stromboli, ending back at the starting point at the end of the week.
Sailing distances between the islands are generally short, with most daily passages lasting two to four hours and leaving the rest of the day free for swimming, snorkeling and time ashore. The archipelago sits off the northeastern coast of Sicily in the Tyrrhenian Sea, and its UNESCO World Heritage status reflects both the geological significance of its active volcanoes and the quality of the natural environment surrounding them.
Each island carries a distinct character. Vulcano, the closest to the Sicilian coast, is defined by its sulphur springs, volcanic sand beaches and smoking crater. Filicudi, further west, is the wildest of the week's stops, with a rocky coastline of basalt sea stacks and marine caves accessible mainly by dinghy or by swimming. Salina is the greenest island in the archipelago, known for its capers, Malvasia wine and the beach at Pollara, whose half-submerged volcanic crater became famous as a filming location.
Panarea brings the most fashionable energy of the route, with whitewashed houses, a compact village and anchorages around uninhabited volcanic islets to the east. Stromboli closes the eastward sweep of the week with its continuously active volcano, whose eruptions along the Sciara del Fuoco, the lava channel descending directly into the sea, are often visible from the water after dark.
Days combine a morning sail with a swim stop in clear water, an afternoon arrival and evenings spent either at anchor in a quiet bay or ashore in a harbor village depending on the island. The rhythm is relaxed but varied, moving between livelier ports and wilder anchorages throughout the week.

Day1
Boarding in Lipari and First Swim Stop
Boarding takes place in Lipari in the afternoon, with a welcome drink and a briefing with the crew covering the navigation plan and life on board for the week. A short afternoon sail along the western coast of Lipari leads to a first swim stop at Spiaggia di Vinci or Valle Muria before returning to moor near Marina Corta for the first evening, with dinner ashore or on board.
Day2
Vulcano
A morning sail leads to Vulcano, the southernmost island of the archipelago, known for its sulphur springs, volcanic landscape and the black sand beach of Spiaggia delle Sabbie Nere. The morning offers the option of a hike toward the crater for views across the archipelago, while the afternoon includes a swim stop at the Grotta del Cavallo before the overnight anchorage in Porto di Levante.
Day3
Filicudi
A longer navigation heads west to Filicudi, the wildest and least developed island on the route, with a rocky coastline of sea stacks and marine caves. The main stops are La Canna, a solitary basalt pinnacle rising from the sea, and the Grotta del Bue Marino, a large marine cave suited to snorkeling and dinghy exploration. The evening is spent at anchor near Pecorini a Mare, a quiet landing with a small dock and local aperitifs.
Day4
Salina
Sail east toward Salina, the greenest island in the archipelago. The day includes a stop at Lingua for a granita break, a Salina tradition, and time in Santa Marina for wine tasting and local shopping, before a swim in the dramatic bay of Pollara, a partially submerged volcanic crater whose cliffs featured in the film Il Postino. The overnight stop is in Santa Marina or at anchor depending on conditions.
Day5
Panarea
Departure toward Panarea, the smallest inhabited island in the archipelago and the liveliest in summer. The day includes swimming at Cala Junco or among the volcanic islets of Basiluzzo and Lisca Bianca to the east of the island, with the evening spent ashore for cocktails or dinner with a sea view. The overnight anchorage is near Drauto or in the small port if space allows.
Day6
Stromboli
Sail northeast to Stromboli, whose persistently active volcano has given it the name the lighthouse of the Mediterranean. The day allows time for swimming at Strombolicchio, the ancient volcanic plug just offshore, and at the black sand beaches near the village. At sunset, the boat navigates along the Sciara del Fuoco to watch the volcanic eruptions from the sea, one of the most memorable experiences available in the Mediterranean. The night is spent at anchor or moored in San Vincenzo.
Day7
Return to Lipari and Disembarkation
A relaxed morning sail brings the boat back to Lipari, with a lunch stop and a swim at Canneto or the Pumice Beach along the way. The boat returns to port in the afternoon, with the final night spent on board. Disembarkation takes place the following morning by 9am.

Starter Pack: €300 per person The Starter Pack is payable directly at embarkation. For single-use cabin bookings, the fee must be paid for both berths in the cabin.
