Your sailing trip
A seven-day journey combining sailing through the Gulf of Naples with a hotel stay in Positano, linking Pompeii, Ischia, Procida and Capri to the terraced villages, gardens and local cuisine of the Amalfi Coast.
The itinerary moves through the Gulf of Naples and the Amalfi Coast, linking two distinct modes of travel within a single week. The first half unfolds on the water, connecting the islands of Ischia, Procida and Capri before reaching the Amalfi Coast. The second half settles into Positano, one of the most recognizable villages on the coast, using it as a base for excursions further into the surrounding hills and countryside.
Navigation during the first days covers the volcanic islands of the Gulf of Naples by short, scenic passages, with each island adding its own character to the route. Ischia draws visitors for its thermal springs and gardens. Procida, the smallest of the three main islands, is known for its pastel-coloured fishing harbor and its near-complete absence of vehicles in the oldest parts of the town. Capri, the most celebrated, rises sharply above the sea around the Faraglioni rock formations, with a Roman history that reaches back to the Emperor Tiberius.
The Amalfi Coast, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and known locally as La Divina, stretches along the southern side of the Sorrento Peninsula between Positano and Vietri sul Mare. Its villages cling to terraced cliffs above the sea, connected by narrow roads that wind between lemon groves, vineyards and bougainvillea, with Positano and Ravello among the most visited and most visually striking of the many towns along its length.
History and food run through the entire route without ever feeling like separate categories. Pompeii, buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD and still being excavated today, opens the week before the boat even leaves port. The Roman villas of Capri, the medieval churches of Ravello and the working cheese and wine traditions of the Sorrento hills each add layers to a trip that balances cultural depth with genuinely relaxed time by the sea.
Evenings follow the place rather than a fixed program, moving between waterfront dinners on board during the sailing days, aperitifs at Positano's harbor bars and more local, unhurried meals in smaller restaurants away from the main seafront once the stay in the town takes hold.

Yacht - Gulet
A traditional Turkish gulet built entirely in mahogany and iroko brings together craftsmanship, design and quality materials in a way few charter vessels can match. Pastel upholstery, hand-painted Positano ceramics, embroidered linen and cotton, brass lamps and rope-woven mats turn every corner of the boat into a refined and distinctly Mediterranean living space.
This Turkish gulet is the result of local artisans working to make every detail unique and refined, combining the warmth of traditional materials with a level of finish more commonly associated with custom-built yachts. The deck layout is organized into clearly defined zones: a forward area dedicated to watersports and diving activities, a central deck with a sunbathing platform and cushioned seating, and an aft area with the helm station and a table seating twelve guests, shaded by a roll-out awning across the boom and surrounded by cushioned bench seating.
Below deck, six guest cabins, four with twin beds and two with double beds, each include a private ensuite bathroom, accommodating up to twelve guests in total. The combination of pastel-toned upholstery, embroidered linens, brass fittings and woven rope detailing throughout the interior creates an atmosphere that feels distinctly handcrafted rather than mass produced.
A full crew, including a captain, sailor, cook and hostess, remains available throughout the cruise to manage navigation, meals and daily service, allowing guests to focus entirely on the experience of being at sea. Onboard leisure equipment includes a tender for excursions ashore, canoes, inflatable mats, entertainment systems and fishing and water games equipment for use during anchorage stops.
The exact cabin configuration will be confirmed before departure while maintaining the same standard of onboard comfort and craftsmanship.
- Tender Selva 6.60 with 100hp engine
- Canoes
- Inflatable mats
- TV
- Hi-Fi system with radio, DVD, CD player, MP3 and cassette player

Travel organizer tips
Pack smart for your yacht charter: choose a soft bag instead of a hard suitcase, bring lightweight layers, reef-safe sunscreen, and non-slip shoes for onboard use. A couple of swimsuits and motion sickness remedies can also make a big difference. Each boat has limited storage, so pack light, but wisely! Need help building the perfect list? Start your day with a swim in a quiet bay, sail to hidden beaches or seaside villages, and enjoy a slow lunch on deck. Afternoons mean snorkeling, sunbathing, or exploring ashore. As the sun sets, your boat anchors in a scenic cove or near a harbor, ready for a relaxed dinner and a night under the stars. Curious about the full experience? Discover more in our guide: What's a typical day like on a sailing holiday?
On skipper-only charters, guests usually share cooking and cleaning duties, think salads, pasta, and good teamwork. If there's a hostess, light meals and tidying are included, but it's still a casual, collaborative vibe. On fully crewed yachts, you'll enjoy full service with a chef and crew managing everything. Want to know what's included in your setup? Read the full guide: Who takes care of cooking and cleaning on a sailing charter?
Summer sailing holidays rarely face major weather issues, but when the sea gets rough, skippers adjust the route for your safety. Expect protected bays, marina stops, or a change in plan. These moments often lead to unexpected gems: local towns to explore, time to relax on board, or cozy dinners ashore. Curious about how crews handle these changes?
