A seven-day journey combining sailing through the Gulf of Naples with a hotel stay in Positano, linking Pompeii, Ischia, Procida and Capri to the terraced villages, gardens and local cuisine of the Amalfi Coast.
The itinerary moves through the Gulf of Naples and the Amalfi Coast, linking two distinct modes of travel within a single week. The first half unfolds on the water, connecting the islands of Ischia, Procida and Capri before reaching the Amalfi Coast. The second half settles into Positano, one of the most recognizable villages on the coast, using it as a base for excursions further into the surrounding hills and countryside.
Navigation during the first days covers the volcanic islands of the Gulf of Naples by short, scenic passages, with each island adding its own character to the route. Ischia draws visitors for its thermal springs and gardens. Procida, the smallest of the three main islands, is known for its pastel-coloured fishing harbor and its near-complete absence of vehicles in the oldest parts of the town. Capri, the most celebrated, rises sharply above the sea around the Faraglioni rock formations, with a Roman history that reaches back to the Emperor Tiberius.
The Amalfi Coast, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and known locally as La Divina, stretches along the southern side of the Sorrento Peninsula between Positano and Vietri sul Mare. Its villages cling to terraced cliffs above the sea, connected by narrow roads that wind between lemon groves, vineyards and bougainvillea, with Positano and Ravello among the most visited and most visually striking of the many towns along its length.
History and food run through the entire route without ever feeling like separate categories. Pompeii, buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD and still being excavated today, opens the week before the boat even leaves port. The Roman villas of Capri, the medieval churches of Ravello and the working cheese and wine traditions of the Sorrento hills each add layers to a trip that balances cultural depth with genuinely relaxed time by the sea.
Evenings follow the place rather than a fixed program, moving between waterfront dinners on board during the sailing days, aperitifs at Positano's harbor bars and more local, unhurried meals in smaller restaurants away from the main seafront once the stay in the town takes hold.

Day1
Pompeii and Ischia
An air-conditioned van collects guests from the airport and heads directly to Pompeii, where an entire day is spent exploring the well-preserved ruins of the ancient Roman city while luggage is transferred ahead to the boat. Boarding follows at Marina di Stabia, with a welcome cocktail before setting sail toward Ischia at sunset. Dinner and the night are spent in the port of Ischia.
Day2
Ischia and Procida
After breakfast, options for exploring Ischia include a guided tour of Villa La Mortella, one of the largest and most striking botanical gardens in the world with over five hundred species of Mediterranean and tropical plants, followed by a visit to the Nitrodi hot springs, a small forest park threaded with thermal mineral pools known for their therapeutic properties. After lunch, the afternoon is spent sailing to Procida, arriving at Marina Grande, with its buildings in pink, blue, yellow and white rising above the fishing boats. A visit to Marina Corricella, the island's main fishing port and free of vehicles, feels like stepping back in time, while the climb to Terra Murata, an old cliffside fort around ninety-one meters above sea level, rewards with a sweeping view over the whole Gulf of Naples. Dinner and the night are spent in the port of Procida.
Day3
Capri
After breakfast, sail to Capri, anchoring in the sheltered area of Marina Piccola. The day can be spent freely or with a guided tour to the ruins of one of Emperor Tiberius's twelve villas, the striking Villa Jovis on Mount Tiberio, along with the Sea Palace and the Baths of Tiberius near Marina Grande. The island has only two towns, Capri itself, just above Marina Grande, and the higher town of Anacapri. In Capri town, Piazza Umberto I, better known as La Piazzetta, is worth a stop before wandering the narrow lanes and gardens beyond the main square. The Blue Grotto and the dramatic Faraglioni rock formations complete the visit. After lunch, the afternoon is left free before sailing on toward the Amalfi Coast, with dinner spent at anchor off Positano.
Day4
Arrival in Positano
After breakfast offshore, disembarkation takes place on Positano's beach at 10am. Check-in follows at a hotel set above the town, with rooms spread along the cliffside and reached either by funicular or on foot, offering wide views over the Sirenuse Islands. The evening is free to explore Positano, from its boutiques along the steep streets to its seafront restaurants, bars and the lively waterfront at Spiaggia Grande.
Day5
Positano
A panoramic breakfast opens a day left free for relaxing or exploring Positano further. The main shopping street follows Via dei Mulini and Viale Pasitea, known for their colorful, locally designed clothing, swimwear and handmade leather sandals, with several artisan workshops that still produce items to order.
Day6
Torre Ferrano and the Mozzarella Factory
After an early breakfast, a transfer by minibus leads to the Torre Ferrano agriturismo to visit a working cheese factory, where mozzarella, ricotta and other local cheeses are made, including the well-known Provolone del Monaco. Torre Ferrano itself is a restored historic winery built around a tower with a panoramic terrace, where a wine tasting precedes lunch featuring local products, with sweeping views over the Sorrento Peninsula. The afternoon returns leads back to Positano.
Day7
Positano or Ravello
The final day can be spent freely in Positano or with an excursion to Ravello, reached by a winding, panoramic road between the Dragone and Regina valleys. Set on a hilltop with sweeping views over the Amalfi Coast, Ravello has long appealed to writers and poets, with its art preserved across several churches, including the Cathedral of Saint Pantaleone, patron saint of the town. At the heart of town, Piazza Vescovado brings together the old castle ruins, the cathedral and Palazzo Rufolo, with Villa Rufolo and its gardens a highlight alongside Villa Cimbrone nearby. Hotel checkout takes place the following morning.

A full crew, including a captain, sailor, cook and hostess, takes care of the cruise from start to finish, handling navigation, meals and daily housekeeping so guests can stay fully focused on the time on board.
