A cabin charter island hopping holiday from Athens through the Saronic Gulf, calling at Aegina, Hydra, Poros, Ermioni, Epidavros and Agistri with daily swim stops along the way.
The cruise departs from Athens and moves through the Saronic Gulf, the stretch of sea closest to the capital, covering a circuit of islands and coastal towns before returning to the same marina at the end of the week.
Distances between stops stay short throughout the week, with mostly downwind conditions and protected waters that suit both first time sailors and more experienced travelers, leaving plenty of time each day for swimming and time ashore rather than long passages.
The islands themselves vary considerably over a short distance, from Aegina's pine covered hills and ancient ruins to Hydra's bare, rocky profile rising steeply from a harbor with no roads, and the greener, more wooded landscapes of Poros and Agistri.
Each stop carries its own character, with Aegina's Temple of Aphaia, Hydra's car free streets and stone mansions, Poros's clock tower above the harbor, and the ancient theatre at Epidavros, regarded as one of the best preserved in Greece. Evenings generally move between quiet coastal towns and livelier harbors, with traditional tavernas a constant throughout the week.
Days tend to follow a similar pattern, a swim stop or two during the morning sail, lunch either at anchor or ashore, and an afternoon arrival that leaves time to explore before dinner, with the rhythm shifting gently between quieter islands and busier harbor towns as the week progresses.
Itinerary
Day1
Athens to Aegina
Boarding takes place at the marina in Athens in the afternoon, with time to settle into the cabins before the boat sails across the Saronic Gulf towards Aegina. Arrival allows time for a first swim stop in clear water, and the evening is spent at a traditional taverna ashore.
Day2
Aegina to Ermioni
The morning offers the chance to visit the Temple of Aphaia, one of the most significant ancient sites in the Saronic Islands, before setting sail towards Ermioni in generally favorable downwind conditions. The day includes a swim stop in a sheltered bay and lunch at anchor, with arrival in Ermioni in the afternoon and the evening free to explore the harbor.
Day3
Ermioni to Hydra
After a morning sail, a stop in a quiet bay allows time for swimming, snorkeling and paddleboarding before continuing on to Hydra. Known for its preserved architecture and the absence of cars, the island is best explored on foot from the main town, reached by water taxi from the anchorage, with the day closing on a scenic sunset over the harbor.

Hydra to Poros
After a morning swim, the route continues to Poros, a smaller, greener island with a short crossing that leaves time for further swimming and watersports along the way. Ashore, the ruins of the Temple of Poseidon and the clock tower above the harbor are worth a visit, with the town offering a livelier mix of restaurants and nightlife in the evening.
Day5
Poros to Epidavros
The route continues to Epidavros, a quieter coastal stop known above all for the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, a UNESCO recognized site and one of the best preserved classical Greek theatres. After exploring the town and the surrounding area, the evening is spent over a relaxed dinner with views towards the mountains.
Day6
Epidavros to Agistri
Sailing continues to Agistri, a small island known for its turquoise water and quieter, more natural landscape, with the day left free for swimming, exploring the coastline or getting around by bike. The evening marks a final night together, with a relaxed celebration ashore to close out the week.
Day7
Agistri to Athens and Disembarkation
A last swim stop in one of the skipper's favorite bays opens the final day, before sailing back towards Athens. Arrival at the marina is typically in the afternoon, with disembarkation taking place on arrival, marking the end of the cruise.
