Your sailing trip
A spectacular cruise in the heart of the Mediterranean to be enchanted by the pearls of Sicily.
For a boating holiday on the Aeolian islands you can start from the modern marina di Capo d'Orlando, facing the Aeolian archipelago and during the cruise, you can fully enjoy the natural beauty of these wonderful volcanic islands, which despite being all nearby 'to each other, retain a different appearance and character.
The Aeolian Islands are unique, spectacular and offer a variety of interesting activities, both on land and at sea.
Excursions on volcanoes, trekking routes for all levels with a guide, dinners of fresh fish at sunset on the sea, diving and snorkeling to discover the seabed, peripheral inlets and sea caves of unique charm, are just a few wonderful things that can be appreciated on a holiday in the Aeolian Islands.
You really shouldn't miss this tour through the seven pearls of the archipelago:
Vulcano, Lipari, Salina, Filicudi, Alicudi, Panarea and Stromboli.
Vulcano will fascinate you with its warm thermal waters, black sand, and mud baths ("Pozza dei Fanghi"). But it will also satisfy trekking enthusiasts, it is in fact possible to climb to the top of the volcano and appreciate unique geological formations of their kind.
Those who love art can visit the Castle of Lipari, the largest of the Aeolian Islands, as well as its Norman cathedral, and the Archaeological Museum. But Lipari is also famous for shopping.
Salina is the greenest of the islands, with 80% of its territory in the form of a nature reserve. Trekking lovers can try their hand through excursions through the woods to the top of Mount Felci, the ancient dormant volcano in Salina, from which they will enjoy a breathtaking view of the whole archipelago.
The island of Salina is renowned for the production of " capers " and " Malvasia ", a characteristic wine with a very sweet and aromatic flavor obtained from raisins, vaguely similar to passito. One of the most suggestive places on the island is the bay of Pollara, which is located inside an ancient crater largely collapsed into the sea. Also in Pollara, it is possible to see, from a distance, the house where the film "Il Postino" was shot, with Philippe Noiret in the part of Pablo Neruda and the unforgettable Massimo Troisi in the part of the postman.
Alicudi and Filicudi, wild and lonely, only recently reached by electricity. The permanent inhabitants are very few and along the paths, we move on foot or on the back of a mule. A jump into the past.
Panarea is famous for its elite tourism and as a traditional destination for celebrities and famous people. But Panarea is also particularly attractive in its natural and archaeological beauties, crystal clear sea, enchanting bays, alleys and white houses. Not far from Punta Milazzese, there are some ruins of a prehistoric village.
Finally, we will head to the farthest of the islands, Stromboli which with its active volcano that has enchanted visitors for 2000 years. Lava flows are channeled along a steep road to the sea called Sciara del Fuoco. Pure emotion!
There is no moment of the day when it is possible to forget that this island is, first of all, an active volcano or Iddu as the islanders call it, on whose margin, a microscopic piece of land, men settled almost by accident, creating small settlements of houses of a dazzling white that contrast with the beach of black sand-like coal, with the lava stones scattered everywhere, with the lava stone ridges.
The sea is cobalt blue so deep that it inevitably evokes a primordial landscape, shaped by lava. It is also beautiful to walk in the alleys at sunset, characterized by craft shops, restaurants and refined boutiques.
The itinerary shown is subject to variations based on marine weather conditions.
For safety reasons, the skipper's judgment regarding navigation and any changes to the program is unquestionable.
