Bike and Sail Croatia from Trogir: Cycling Cruise to Brač, Korčula, Mljet, Dubrovnik and Hvar

Starting and ending in Trogir, this week-long bike and sail route explores Central and Southern Dalmatia, linking the islands of Brač, Korčula, Mljet, Šipan, Hvar and Šolta with the Pelješac Peninsula and the walled city of Dubrovnik. Each day combines a sea passage with time in the saddle, so the islands are discovered from their quiet inland roads as well as from the water.

Guided rides follow hilly and sometimes steep island roads, so a good level of fitness and regular cycling experience are recommended. Guides adapt the stages to the group and the weather, shortening a section or swapping it for a longer swim on the hottest days, while the boat carries your luggage from harbour to harbour. Bikes and e-bikes can be rented for the week.

The landscapes change from island to island: the white stone and pine-covered slopes of Brač, the vineyards of Korčula and Pelješac, the forests and saltwater lakes of Mljet and the quiet bays of Šipan in the Elaphiti Islands. Swimming stops in clear water break up the passages, and the final day returns north past Hvar and Šolta.

Historic towns punctuate the week: medieval Korčula on its small peninsula, Dubrovnik with its city walls and Stradun, explored on a guided city tour, and UNESCO-listed Trogir, where a guided walk through the old town is also included. Evenings in harbour towns leave time for a stroll along the waterfront and dinner ashore.

Life on board is informal and sociable, with half board prepared by the crew, a captain's dinner and English and German speaking guides accompanying the group throughout. Between rides, the deck is the place to rest, swim and watch the next island come into view.
