The route runs from Angra dos Reis to Paraty, then to Ilha Grande and back, and it stays flexible depending on the weather and the group. Passages are short, and the boat spends each night at anchor in a bay or alongside in a marina.
Anchorages sit below jungle-covered slopes and beside white-sand beaches, with reefs close to the boat for snorkelling. Lopes Mendes is a long beach of pale sand, Aventureiro can only be reached by boat, and the Botinas Islands and Lagoa Azul are known for their clear water.
Ashore, Paraty is a colonial town with cobbled streets, small bars and a UNESCO World Heritage setting, while Ilha Grande has forest paths and quiet villages without cars.
