Your sailing trip
A week of cabin charter sailing from Tortola through the southern British Virgin Islands, with stops at Norman Island, Peter Island, Cooper Island, Salt Island, Ginger Island and The Baths on Virgin Gorda.
This cruise starts and ends in Road Town, on Tortola, and winds through the southern part of the British Virgin Islands, a compact cruising ground where islands sit close together and the trade winds blow steadily for most of the year.
Distances are short, so each day leaves plenty of time for sailing, swimming and snorkelling. The route is a sample and can be adapted to the weather, the sea state and the wishes of the group.
Anchorages lie in clear turquoise water, with reefs and caves close to the boat. Highlights include the caves and coves of Norman Island, the quiet beaches of Peter Island, the salt pond of Salt Island, the wreck of the RMS Rhone nearby and the granite boulders of The Baths on Virgin Gorda.
Ashore, small beach bars, short island walks and sunset viewpoints give a taste of the local atmosphere, while the evenings are relaxed and unhurried.
Life on board is sociable and easy-going, with a different anchorage almost every night and time every day to enjoy the warm Caribbean sea.

Pack smart for your yacht charter: choose a soft bag instead of a hard suitcase, bring lightweight layers, reef-safe sunscreen, and non-slip shoes for onboard use. A couple of swimsuits and motion sickness remedies can also make a big difference. Each boat has limited storage, so pack light but wisely! Need help building the perfect list? Start your day with a swim in a quiet bay, sail to hidden beaches or seaside villages, and enjoy a slow lunch on deck. Afternoons mean snorkeling, sunbathing, or exploring ashore. As the sun sets, your boat anchors in a scenic cove or near a harbor ready for a relaxed dinner and a night under the stars. Curious about the full experience?
