Geographically speaking, The Abacos are ideal for boating and sailing. Great Abaco’s coastline is scalloped with bays and coves and protected harbors that feature full-service marinas and resorts. The large island also acts like a mainland, with a long string of barrier islands lying off its east coast. In between is the Sea of Abaco, a brilliant-blue body of water that’s shallow and protected but still large enough to offer miles and miles of sailing and exploring fun.

Accessible by foot, bike, or boat only, the soft white sand of Tahiti Beach arcs into the some of the clearest water you've ever seen. Ocean Beach On the eastern end of Abaco, Ocean Beach offers all the activities you'd expect from a tourist beachfront. The long list of things to do includes windsurfing, diving, fishing, sailing, beach bars, restaurants, and entertainment.

Sandy Point Beach Located on the southwest tip of Great Abaco, 40-miles south of Marsh Harbour sits Sandy Point Beach. A large number of seashells makes this one of the best beaches in The Bahamas.

Gilliam Bay Beach A mere 15-minute walk from Green Turtle Cay, this special beach is well protected from the wind.

Itinerary

Day 1
Marsh Harbour
The third largest settlement in The Bahamas, Marsh Harbour is the commercial hub for the Abacos. With an airport served by international flights and a ferry service which allows island hopping the Abacos Cays. Visit the Neem farm and the Abaco National Park which features blue holes and the Abaco Parrot.
Day 2
Hope Town
Settled by British Loyalists in 1785, the quaint Hope Town has a unique history and picturesque architecture like no other in the Abaco. Overlooked by the red and white stripes of the Elbow Reef Lighthouse, Hope Town is best explored on foot.
Day 3
Man-O-War Cay
Discover the boat building capital of The Bahamas. The Albury family (who operate the Albury Ferry service) are still in the boat building business today. Joe Albury builds handcrafted boats from his workshop.
Day 4
Great Guana Cay
Beautiful beaches, a picturesque settlement, spectacular sunsets and world-class sailing are the highlights of Great Guana Cay. Nippers Beach Bar and Grill is a renowned beach hangout, particularly on Sundays when they have their pig roast buffet.
Day 5
Green Turtle Cay
Home to a population of around 450, New Plymouth is the main settlement on the island where you will find the Albert Lowe Museum and Loyalist Heritage Sculpture Garden. Green Turtle Cay has some great diving and snorkeling sites along its outer reef. A fantastic base for discovering the Abacos unique marine life, it is within close proximity to the stingrays and sharks found at Manjack Cay as well as the swimming pigs of No Name Cay.
Day 6
Powell Cay & Bonefish Cay
If you venture out further north towards Spanish Cay, pristine white sand beaches and shallow creeks await. Your ideal stop to anchor and soak in the sun away from the crowds.
Day 7
Treasure Cay
Adorned with a stunning three and half mile long white sand beach with a beautiful backdrop of turquoise blue ocean. Treasure Cay is a small island resort destination with a full service marina, golf course, water sports and beach service. Disembark in Marsh Harbour.

Catamaran Lagoon 52 : LUXURIOUS AND CONTEMPORARY

The 52 marks a whole new era in the design of cruising catamarans, as indeed did its predecessor, the famed 500.

With its diamond-shaped vertical bows, bevelled hulls, its as if levitated deckhouse and tall rig, the 52 is no ordinary catamaran, but its originality goes a great deal further than just its "outer" appearance, or even its interior layout.

This Lagoon is the result of lengthy discussions between the architects at Van Peteghem-Lauriot Prévost (VPLP), the Italian Nauta Design agency and the Lagoon design department. These discussions led us to make some important and sometimes radical choices, while remaining faithful to what we believe in, in terms of elegance, comfort, safety, user friendliness and, it goes without saying, performance under sail.
