South Dalmatia embodies what is probably the loveliest section of the Croatian coast - climatically spoiled and gifted with lush subtropical vegetation. At the gates of Dubrovnik, the area presents itself with a multitude of smaller and larger islands. Depending on the route chosen, the historic old town of Korcula, the Mljet National Park or the island of Lastovo, which is located far in the sea, are tourist highlights.

The region delights sailors with an abundance of beautiful and safe bays that invite you to swim in the sea and spend the night in the great outdoors. Short distances, the possibility of flexible trip planning and mostly moderate wind conditions in summer make this area particularly interesting for beginners. But even those with experience in sailing will get their money's worth when navigating through the island world.

We start in the ACI marina Dubrovnik which is also called the "Pearl of the Adriatic". With its unsurpassed urban architecture, Dubrovnik is an ideal starting point for a catamaran sailing trip from Dubrovnik.

In Dalmatia, the next port or anchorage is usually not far, depending on your mood, there is enough time to swim and relax. Between the green pine forests and the karst islands, while sailing along Dalmatia from Dubrovnik, we repeatedly discover picturesque bathing bays with wonderful water. Our catamaran anchors on sandy ground in the infinite number of bays. The guests jump from the board into the pleasantly warm sea, snorkel and discover the underwater world or conquer the beach with the dinghy.

Every sailor is part of the crew and actively contributes his or her skills to life on board, but sailing experience is not required.

The skipper explains the most important maneuvers and soon you are at the helm, pulling the sheets or navigating through the nautical chart. When the ship is at anchor, the dinghy takes us ashore.

Usually a short walk into the village or even just up the next hill is worthwhile. In many city ports, we are right in the historical center. Cooking and eating together on board is always a successful end to the day. In the harbors and many bays, there are also some simple restaurants that present us with typical local cuisine.
