Our goal is to guide you through the history, the culture and the land of each place we sail to!!
We have carefully designed an itinerary, which combines an enjoyable and educative sailing cruise in the Ionian Sea, with a variety of exciting activities. These sailing trips include swimming in beautiful beaches in Greece and sailing from island to island which you can only visit with a sailing yacht! Our trips are also rich in cultural and exploration content with hiking in fruitful paths to enjoy amazing view, tasting local Greek gastronomy, visiting archaeological and natural sites and attending local festivals! An exploration of the Ionian Sea below the sea level is an additional part of the trip to really get to know the environment and local culture.
Itinerary
Day1
Saturday - Kastos
Arrival to EYsailing‘s base at Lefkas Marina with a welcome drink onboard the yacht with local appetisers and liquers.
After having a first look on the yacht, we set sails south to Kastos, the diamond of the Ionian Sea, after having a quick swim in Kalamos, where the pine trees touch the water.
Upon arrival in Kastos, a short hiking to enjoy the really amazing atmosphere and environment of the island (options vary from 10’ to a couple hours!), a dinner at a local restaurant with authentic and typical greek dishes, famous for its tuna steak and burger.

Day2
Sunday - Kioni
After a morning coffee at the windmill, we set sails for Atokos, the private island with only two small bays and some hidden sea-caves. Once our swim is done, we sail to Kioni, where our heart beats in the summer.. This idyllic village of Ithaca, with the great energy and the beautiful
houses; with the relaxed environment even during the busiest days of August and some of the honestly best diving locations with impressively clear waters. A walk around the village after a freediving session, gives the real atmosphere with the local jewellery makers and then off for a great dinner at Kalipso by the sea, hopefully with our freshlycaught fish!

Day3
Monday - Vathi
A morning coffee at the little harbour of Kioni before departure is essential to start the day! Then, short sail to a remote beach nearby to enjoy a day full of water activities. A second swim at a different beach nearby before mooring in Ithaca’s main harbour Vathi in the afternoon, after
a lunch onboard. Here, there are options to explore the village, visit the archaeological and maritime museums or have a relaxed coffee by the seaside. A great path that leads to one of the most famous beaches of the island is also an option for a late afternoon walk! Vathi has also a variety of options for dinner with either traditional greek cuisine, or fish by the sea or at Perahori, a village with stunning view towards the ionian islands and charcoal grilled dishes!

Day4
Tuesday - Filiatro
A short walk in the village to grab some local pastry, and then off to explore the amazing waters of the nearby beaches. With stops at Yidaki, Sarakiniko (with some absolutely amazing swim-throughs!) and Pera Pigadi, we will moor at Filiatro to spend the night on anchor. Here we can try again to get some fish for the dinner and for those interested, some more freediving! Dinner onboard and exploration of the night sky, full of stars!

Day5
Wednesday - Fiskardo
The first swim of the day is at the magic and really impressive beach Afales in the north of Ithaca. With clear and tirquaz waters, white small pebbles and sharp cliffs this beach will be completely
different! In the early afternoon we will seek a birth at the famous and cosmopolitan harbour of Fiskardo in Kefalonia; here two fantastic hiking paths wait to be explored either to the Venetian
lighthouses at the entrance of the bay or through cypress trees. A Roman cemetery on the way to the nearby beach Foki is also a popular attraction, before enjoying the restaurants of Fiskardo,
famous for lobsters and seafood; a real gastronomic experience.

Day6
Thursday - Assos
Breakfast onboard the yacht, while sailing towards the western part of Kefalonia to Assos, with the beautiful castle. Amazing remote beaches on the way to Assos as well as sea caves for more adventurous guests! An evening exploration during sunset, of the castle before dinner is an ideal
end to the day. Alternative to Assos, is the east coast of Kefalonia with Sami and the famous cave of Melissani, which can easily be accessed with little boats; stunning images and great natural beauty!

Day7
Friday - Saturday - Meganisi
Departure from Kefalonia in the morning for a swim at a remote beach, while enjoying a “water massage” on the way; being pulled by the boat under sails in the middle of the sea! A stop to enjoy the cave of Papanikolis, which we can explore either snorkelling or even with the dinghy,
before anchoring at a well-hidden and protected bay of Meganisi for a last underwater exploration and spend the night on anchor. While watching the stars, we collect the memories of our trip to reflect back to all the amazing moments we had..

I had an absolutely amazing time with EYsailing. Elias was a superb host and took us to amazing places along the Greek coast line. I would highly recommend anybody to go and enjoy a sailing holiday with EYsailing! Hopefully I am coming back next year!!!

We had an absolutely stellar holiday thanks! Right from the start, when we were picked up from the airport and then welcomed by our awesome skipper Elias on the yacht in Lefkas, throughout the week, which passed by far to quickly, everything, literally everything was absolutely perfect!
The boat was in top condition, everything was clean and neat and we didn't have to bring any towels which saved us weight for souvenirs! ;)
The supermarkets of the Ionian do not leave you wanting for anything, Elias even got gluten-free pasta & bread for one of us!
Every morning, after raising the anchor and heading for the next gorgeous destination, Elias prepared us Greek coffee and a fresh breakfast with sandwiches, fresh fruit and smooth Greek yogurt and fantastic Greek honey.
The islands, beaches, ports and towns of the Ionian are very beautiful, clean and the water quality was unbelievably high, with visibility well over 10m! Thanks!! Great set of diving equipment, everyone of us was able to fully enjoy exploring the underwater world, discovering a great variety of fish, sea-urchins and sea-stars! See a fish that looks tasty to you? No problem, Elias will hunt it with his spear-gun and make sure it'll be freshly prepared in whatever way you like at a friendly restaurant. ;) Another big highlight of our trip was seeing a SCHOOL OF DOLPHINS swimming along and under our boat one day! MAGIC! :) Also, make sure to anchor one night in a bay away from artificial light to take in the Milky Way in its full glory! Something impossible in our light-polluted cities!
After every little adventure, Elias made sure we were never hungry, preparing "small" Greek snack platters, great lunches and dinners on the boat. If we felt like going out his knowledge of great restaurants and bars around the area guaranteed an always satisfying dining experience! :) (Still dreaming of that Tuna steak...)
