Your sailing trip
A hands-on shared sailing trip from southern Martinique to Saint Lucia, Bequia, Mayreau and the Tobago Cays, learning to helm, trim and manoeuvre alongside a qualified instructor.
This 10-day sailing course starts and ends in Le Marin, the great yachting harbour on the south coast of Martinique, and heads south into the Windward Islands. The route crosses to Saint Lucia, follows the leeward coast of Saint Vincent and reaches the Grenadines, a chain of small islands, reefs and sandy cays strung out between Saint Vincent and Grenada.
The pace is that of a real sailing trip. The open-water passages between Martinique, Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent are sailed in the steady trade winds, while the hops inside the Grenadines are short, leaving time to anchor, swim and snorkel. Every guest takes part in helming, sail trim and manoeuvres under the guidance of a state-certified instructor, progressing at their own level towards sailing independently. A night passage may be planned on the way back north.
Highlights along the way may include lunch in Marigot Bay and a night beneath the Pitons in Saint Lucia, the wide anchorage of Admiralty Bay in Bequia, the snorkelling shallows of Petit Nevis, the white sand of Salt Whistle Bay on Mayreau and the reef-protected lagoon of the Tobago Cays, where turtles graze over the seagrass.
Ashore, the Grenadines keep a relaxed island rhythm: fishermen come alongside with fresh fruit, fish or lobster, steel bands play in Clifton on Union Island and Bequia still remembers its whaling past. The last evening is usually spent in Sainte Anne, back in Martinique, with its lively waterfront and Creole flavours.
Life on board is shared and informal. Guests and instructor plan the shopping together and run the boat as one crew, with food and other shared costs covered by a common onboard kitty. It is an experience for travellers who want to sail actively, learn and enjoy the islands at the same time, rather than a fully serviced charter.

A fast, modern sailing trimaran built for people who want to sail for real: responsive under canvas, stable at anchor and laid out so that everyone keeps a corner of privacy.
This performance trimaran is designed to be sailed. The wide platform and slim outer hulls give quick, lively handling and a reassuring sense of balance, so guests can take the helm, trim the sails and feel the boat accelerate in a good breeze without the heel of a monohull.
Life on board centres on the raised deck saloon, a bright space with large windows, a galley and a dining area that opens onto the cockpit. Outside, the sheltered cockpit offers seating and a second table for meals in the open air, while the trampolines on the foredeck are the place to relax between manoeuvres.
Guest cabins have independent access and are spread between the main deck and the outer hulls, which keeps sleeping areas quiet and private even when the boat is full. Storage and technical spaces sit in the central hull, leaving cabins and saloon uncluttered.
It is a boat for sailors who appreciate efficiency and comfort in equal measure, and for anyone keen to discover what a modern multihull can do.

Travel organizer tips
Pack smart for your yacht charter: choose a soft bag instead of a hard suitcase, bring lightweight layers, reef-safe sunscreen, and non-slip shoes for onboard use. A couple of swimsuits and motion sickness remedies can also make a big difference. Each boat has limited storage, so pack light, but wisely! Need help building the perfect list? Start your day with a swim in a quiet bay, sail to hidden beaches or seaside villages, and enjoy a slow lunch on deck. Afternoons mean snorkeling, sunbathing, or exploring ashore. As the sun sets, your boat anchors in a scenic cove or near a harbor, ready for a relaxed dinner and a night under the stars. Curious about the full experience? On skipper-only charters, guests usually share cooking and cleaning duties, think salads, pasta, and good teamwork. If there's a hostess, light meals and tidying are included, but it's still a casual, collaborative vibe. On fully crewed yachts, you’ll enjoy full service with a chef and crew managing everything. Want to know what’s included in your setup? Read the full guide: Who takes care of cooking and cleaning on a sailing charter?
Summer sailing holidays rarely face major weather issues, but when the sea gets rough, skippers adjust the route for your safety. Expect protected bays, marina stops, or a change in plan. These moments often lead to unexpected gems: local towns to explore, time to relax on board, or cozy dinners ashore. Curious about how crews handle these changes?
