The Egadi Islands are located just in front of the most western point of Sicily just a few kilometers from Trapani.
The Egadi archipelago includes three main islands, Favignana (la major), Levanzo (la minor) and Marettimo, and two great rocks, Maraone and Formica, that emerge from the blue waters of the Tyrrhenian, a few miles from Trapani.
The limpid waters and the fascinating coasts, the small reliefs, the bays, the caves, and then the particular call of the tonnara (one of the few survivors in the world), make the Egadi a popular tourist destination and seaside. to the Egadi Islands to discover the beautiful Sicilian islands from the sea. Itinerary
Day1
Saturday: PALERMO-ISOLA DELLE FEMMINE
We will meet on Saturday at two o'clock in the afternoon at Marina Villa Igiea, located north of Palermo, one hour from Palermo airport by public transport, 20 minutes by taxi.
Those of us who arrive in Palermo on Friday night, due to the flights, will dedicate the morning to walking around the city. To then meet at 2:00 p.m. in the marina
In the marina our Skipper / Skipper will receive you who will make the presentations and explain all the details of the trip, we organize the joint purchase of food and drink, we distribute the cabins
Once the groceries are bought, we will stow them on the sailboat and we will check in on board. This afternoon we will go sailing and do about 12 miles to the Isolla delle Femmini, where we will spend the night.
Day2
Sunday: ISOLA DELLE FEMMINE-TRAPANI
Today we have about 40 miles ahead of us, so the skipper will get up very early in the morning and we will head west to cross the Gulf of Castellammare until we reach Cape San Vito. Once here we can anchor to bathe and eat. Then we will go down the coast to the city of Trapani, also known as the city of 100 churches, where we will sleep in the port and in the afternoon we can go to visit its beautiful old town..
Day3
Monday: TRAPANI-ISOLADIMARETTIMO
Today we have a quieter navigation as we will head to Isola di Favignana (one of the three islands of the Aegadian Islands). Once here we will go along its southern coast and stop to swim and eat in one of its coves. Then we will go to Isola Marettimo, where we will spend tonight.
Day4
Tuesday: ISOLA DI MARETTIMO-ISOLA DI FAVIGNANA
Today will be a day to discover corners and coves of Marettimo. We will also see a 12th century Spanish castle from the sea and then we will go to its neighboring island Favignana, where we will spend the night.
Day5
Wednesday: ISOLA DI FAVIGNANA-ISOLA DI LEVANZO
Today will be a quiet day to enjoy one of the best coves in all of Italy found on this island of Favignana. In the afternoon we will cross to the third and last island that we will visit here: Levanzo, the smallest of the three but with a very special charm.
Day6
Thursday: ISOLA DI LEVANZO-CASTELLAMMARE DEL GOLFO
Today we will leave the Aegadian Islands to go North. We will go along the coast to San Vitolo Capo but if there is a good wind we will extend the route to the picturesque town of Castellmmare del Golfo, a beautiful town that stands out for its Arab-Norman castle.
Day7
Friday: CASTELLAMMARE DEL GOLFO-PALERMO
It seems a lie but the end is near, today it's time to head to Palermo. We will cross the Gulf of Castellammare. Then we will stop at a cove to eat and then we will coast until we arrive in Palermo at around 5pm.
We can leave the boat the next day Saturday at 08:00, or the same Friday depending on flights back home
