Sailing for The Maddalena Archipelago was declared a National Park in 1994 and is certainly one of the most beautiful and unspoiled areas of Sardinia.
The Marina Cala dei Sardi is a safe haven located in the Gulf of Cugnana between Portisco and Porto Rotondo in the heart of the Costa Smeralda, an ideal strategic point for exploring the Island of Tavolara, famous for its pristine beaches, the Maddalena Archipelago and Southern Corsica with its extraordinary white cliffs shaped by the wind.
Easy to reach, the Marina Cala dei Sardi is only 16 km from the Olbia-Costa Smeralda international airport and the port of Olbia, 142 km from the airport of Alghero and 136 km from the port of Porto Torres. At guests' disposal a large car park reserved for parking cars.
Cala dei Sardi is not the usual port, but a living room surrounded by nature. The suggestive setting is characterized by Mediterranean vegetation, a real oasis of peace in which to relax and find a unique and exclusive contact with nature. Guests will be able to enjoy large green spaces and relaxation areas, as well as a comfortable floating solarium from which to dive into the crystal clear waters of the cove. the Marina also offers a dog friendly area dedicated to "four-legged friends".

Day
1
Portisco - Tavolara
Starting from Cala dei Sardi, heading south, crossing Capo Figari and the Gulf of Olbia, you will arrive at the island of Tavolara. You can anchor in Spalmatore bay (excellent seabed for anchoring), right in front of a beautiful beach, you can swim and enjoy a fantastic view. In the evening you can eat at the beach restaurant. The northeastern part of the island is closed to navigation and anchoring is prohibited due to the presence of a military zone. Further south the islets of Molara and Molarotto, and the famous "pools" deserve a stop.

Porto Ottiolu
Going further south, we will find San Teodoro, with its famous Cinta beach and going further down we will reach the well-equipped Ottiolu port. Here you can stop and go ashore. In the marina there are several restaurants and pizzerias and discos for good nights out.
Around the port there are several beaches that can also be reached on foot from the marina.

Cala Luna
Sailing further south are the Grotte del Bue Marino, after Cala Gonone, you can anchor in front of it and take a guided tour inside the cave, very suggestive! Resuming navigation you arrive at Cala Luna. The cove is narrowed by steep rock walls that open onto the beach with large caves in which to find relief from the summer heat. Behind the beach there is a small river of fresh water crossed by a small wooden bridge which leads to an area of services, restaurants and bars.

Cala Sisine / Cala Goloritze
Further south you will find Cala Sisine about 200m wide, representing the mouth of a small winter stream that descends from the nearby mountains, the beach opens between the spectacular cliffs that from a height of over 500m descend very steeply to the sea. It is flanked by two rocky ridges which give this place a singular mountain appearance, enhanced by the forest on the walls of the gorge with its centuries-old carob and holm oak trees. The seabed consists of white sand of large calcareous grains and stones rounded by the sea. Its waters are of an iridescent turquoise due to the play of light created by the sun reflected on the seabed. This locality therefore presents itself as an ideal destination for those who want to immerse themselves, even only with a mask and snorkel, in its waters rich in fish. There is a restaurant on the beach.
Cala Goloritze.
One of the stretches of the Gulf of Orosei where sea and mountain meet in perfect harmony is Cala Golorizte: towards the east, a crystalline sea that fades from an intense blue to an incredible turquoise will leave you enchanted; to the south, a stone arch plunges into its crystal clear waters and further enriching this scenic inlet.
Still towards the south, but this time towards the promontory behind, rises Punta Caroddi. It is a spire 147 meters above sea level, which stands out over Cala Goloritze with its fascinating eagle shape.

La Caletta
The town of La Caletta has an equipped port from which you can reach the town center on foot. In the evening, the main road of the town is closed to traffic, turning into a nice walk between stalls and clubs.
The white sandy beach is very long and reaches as far as Santa Lucia.

Capo Coda Cavallo
Heading north, we recommend a stop in the bay of Capo Coda Cavallo, an oasis of tranquility just a few steps away from the Costa Smeralda. The panorama is breathtaking: colors and sensations will remain indelible in the memory. The beaches are white with fine sand surrounded by rocks, coves, islets, lagoons on repeat, however much you turn you will never see them all. You will always find, with any wind, a beach with a calm sea, either on the south or north coast, and a deserted corner just for you.
