Created by violent volcanic eruptions, Corsica is the most mountainous region of the Mediterranean; and is nicknamed the scented island because of the intoxicating perfumes that fill its maquis, or bush lands. Sometimes called a mini-continent, Corsica has 620 km (385 miles) of coastline, more than 200 fine beaches, nature reserves and mountain retreats. A gentle Mediterranean climate has promoted rich forests of evergreen oak, and protects a wide variety of bird species.
The Scandola Nature Reserve is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Several endangered animals thrive in the southern alpine mountains of small, snow capped glaciers including the mouflon (a mountain sheep), and the Corsican red deer. In addition to its breathtaking natural beauty, Corsica is filled with history. Napoleon Bonaparte was born in the capital of Ajaccio, where his boyhood home is open to the public. Genoa ceded the island to France in 1768 and, except for a brief period of British occupation in 1814, it has remained French ever since.
Corsicans have their own language, which is more Italian than French, and they certainly have a lifestyle that is all their own. With one of Europe's finest hiking trails, 40 varieties of orchids, rare lichens and mosses, and wonderful cuisine, visitors to Corsica may be tempted to stay on land. But there is a vital water culture as well. Whale and dolphin sanctuaries surround the islands.
Explore the sea caves near Bonifacio or take in some sea fishing. River and lake fishing for local trout is also a local pastime. Swimming, diving and paragliding are just a few of the activities to draw you to the spot that the Greeks called “Kalliste” – the Beautiful Island.

Day1
Boarding Ajaccio
Boarding in Ajaccio late afternoon. Departure around 06:00 pm (18:00), route to Sainte Barbe in Ajaccio Bay, diner and night on board.
Day2
Ajaccio – Valenco
Setting sails to the gulfe of Valenco which beauty has been sung in many Cosican traditional songs. Mooring in Porto Pollo for lunch after sailing around the reefs of Taravù: swinming, kayaking, farniente. For our guests who like snorkeling: take a ride with the tender to the rocks of Taravu, a beautiful snorkeling spot.
After lunch, route to the gulfe of Valenco and the bay of Campo Moro. The town of Campo Moro was originally a simple fishermen village made of a few grey granite houses. It has kept its genuine and authentic charm. Ashore, you will find a few bars, restaurants and shops. Visite of the bastion, located on the headland of Campo Moro. This historical site has been entirely restored and displays the unspoiled architecture of a fortified Genoese building. Mooring for the night.
Day3
Golfe de Valenco – Sénétose
Route to Sénétose and its magnificent wild moorings, lunch in Arana cove : swimming, farniente, kayak, snorkeling.
Departure to Bonifacio. The whole coast after Acula, is indented with tiny fjords. On Rocapina headland, a heap of rocks looks like a lion lying down. Arrival late afternoon in the pearl of South Corsica : Bonifacio, so beautiful as spectacular ! Entering the port of Bonifacio is very impressive because the harbor is dominated by a huge cliff, on which is located the fortified city. The inhabitants use to say that this vast fjord would be where Ulysses’ black vessel sheltered once during his Odyssey. Mooring for the night.
Day4
Bonifacio – Lavezzi Archipelago
After breakfast, departure to the Lavezzi islands.
The extraordinary aspect of this heap of rocks gives the feeling that we’re back to the Stone Age. This marine and ground sanctuary mainly protects a rare specy of seagulls that nest within the vast rocks, as well as countless fish in turquoise waters. The boulders, piling up high, shape small inside rooms which walls are polished by erosion. Lunch in this heavenly mooring, then swimming and nautical activities. Mooring in Piana island, a natural reserve where the waters are so limpid that one can see the white sandy bottom, 3 or 4 meters deep.
Day5
Ile Piana – Anse de Rocapina
After breakfast, farniente and snorkeling in a natural aquarium.
After lunch, route to Rocapina and its small cove, dominated by its “lion”. Mooring for the night.
Day6
Anse de Rocapina– Golfe de Valenco – Propriano
Nautical activities, farniente and swimming after breakfast. Departure to Propriano after lunch. Saling along the coasts for the Gulf of Valenco and arrival in Propriano. The shore is boarded by houses around this typical Corsican harbor, lively with many bars and restaurants. The town is absolutely charming and not too crowded even in high season. Visit of the village, shopping. Moorings for the night in Propriano.
Day7
Propriano – Ajaccio
Setting sail in the morning to Ajaccio, with a call in front of the Isolella tower. Lunch at mooring in front of a nice beach where you will have a good time kayaking, snorkeling and swimming, prior departing to Ajaccio.
Arrival in Ajaccio late afternoon, visit of the city. You will appreciate its historical and napoleonian background, or simply enjoy the lively quays. Mooring for the night in Ajaccio.

Disembarking the morning after at 09.00 am.
