Your sailing trip
A week between the magic and the energy of the South Sardegna. The perfect stunning backdrop that combines a pleasant sailing vacation with the opportunity to devote yourself to holistic practices.
You will be accompanied in this fantastic holistic experience by one of our teachers with whom you will practice Yantra Artha Yoga, which draws the attention of the Self in the awareness of movement and presence in the body, using harmonic movements; rediscovering the awareness of the breath with pranayama and perceiving the harmonic vibratory frequencies with the chanting of Mantras;
Cagliari - Nora: the natural bend of the beach of Pula, surmounted by the first Phoenician, then Punic and Roman settlement accessible by tender (for a visit and learn more, visit the SardegnaCultura site) deserves a stop even at night, made possible by about 4 meters of the seabed.
Nora - Chia: the famous sand dunes, deserted and dazzling, contrast with the blue of the sea and the dark green patches of the juniper that clings to them. The most fascinating and pure stretch of the southern coast begins. It is possible to deepen Cala Morto and to the west of the rocks of Su Giudeu.
Our advice: the small intermediate port of Calaverde has a maximum draft of 1.80 meters,
Chia - Teulada: at least a glance at Cala Cipolla (anchorage 4 meters) introduces the imposing bulk of Capo Spartivento which, as the name implies, ensures the area is peaceful winds, before flowing into the splendid Tuerredda. In front of the beach dotted with greenery, the islet of the same name stands out separated from the coast by a just submerged isthmus, an ideal base for anchoring at night. Few clean and full navigation edges separate Tuerredda from Porto Malfatano (the passage of which requires extreme caution due to the presence of shallow water areas) and from the port of Teulada, a new Marina inserted in the gulf of the same name and equipped with all comforts. At the distance from the town of Teulada (6 km) this can be remedied with the service ... And always a private car leads to the Matteu farmhouse, nestled in the mountains behind, from which you can enjoy a splendid view of the gulf and an equally splendid dinner typical.
Teulada - Porto Pino: having rounded Capo Malfatano and reefing the mainsail in the event of a mistral, you enter the area of the military polygon, which in winter is a land of exercises (before leaving, it is advisable to contact the Capitaneria di Sant'Antioco, for make sure that any drills are being carried out) and where access to land is prohibited. Limits that, however, preserve the area from bathing, keeping it pristine and beautiful. The transparency and aquamarine tones of the water mirror of Porto Zafferano are like a postcard. The last one on the southern coast: once you have faced Capo Teulada, you are already on Western Sardinia. Before tackling the smaller islands, Porto Pino is also worth a stop at night for its dunes topped by Aleppo pine woods. Going around the shoal of Cala Piombo, it still drops without problems at 4-6 meters.
Porto Pino - Sant’Antioco: it misses the tourist coat of arms of Carloforte, but Sant’Antioco is also worth a visit. Facing the Gulf of Palmas after Capo Sperone, the extreme southern tip of the island (actually connected to the mainland by an isthmus so wide that it can also be traveled by car in both directions) of Sant'Antioco, go up along the eastern side, towards the Roman Port. Unless the weather conditions are favorable enough to tickle a detour south to the islets of Vacca and Toro for a quick swim. In the opposite direction, on the northern tip of Sant’Antioco is the town of Calasetta, with its equipped marina.
Sant’Antioco - Carloforte: Few edges separate Sant’Antioco from the island of San Pietro and from its only inhabited center Carloforte, the starting point for a splendid daily itinerary (see San Pietro Island Itinerary).
Carloforte - Buggerru (18 miles): refueled at the fishermen's port (the entrance is to be approached with caution and keeping the center, given the sloping of the ends of the dam), we set off towards the eastern coast, rocky, majestic and full of history. After the long beach of Funtanamare, we arrive at the steep cliff of Nebida where Porto Flavia is set, a suggestive access to the old mining area that produced coal in the early decades of the twentieth century. The navigation proceeds rapidly towards the Pan di Zucchero, set of pierced stacks to be traveled with the tender in every direction, leaving the boat at anchor without worries (the seabed is high and sandy). The night can be spent in the harbor, in the splendid fjord of Cala Domestica, completely sheltered from the mistral. The choice of shore excursions is very rich.
Our advice: the port of Buggerru is currently covered up, before departure it is good to make sure of the incoming weather conditions, so as not to be stuck halfway. In the event of a mistral, navigation is only advisable in case of great experience. The closest shelters are the Cala Domestica fjord and the port of Tharros, which is 33 miles away.
The itinerary below is just an example, the final itinerary can be selected between (San Pietro Island, Sardinia South-West, Sardinia West or Sardinia East), the itinerary is also subject to change based on the weather conditions and timing.
