Designed for certified divers, this sailing journey combines daily navigation with intensive underwater exploration, reaching remote dive sites not accessible from land.
On board a traditional 99ft wooden schooner, the experience blends comfort and functionality, with a dedicated dhoni supporting all diving operations. The itinerary typically includes up to 3 dives per day, allowing guests to explore channels, coral reefs, pinnacles and open water environments rich in marine biodiversity. Day1
Male Atoll, Embarkation and Check Dive
Your Maldives diving cruise begins with boarding in Male or nearby marina. After cabin allocation and briefing, the crew introduces safety procedures and diving operations.
A check dive is usually scheduled in the afternoon to verify equipment and comfort levels. This first immersion takes place in a calm reef area. Evening on board with navigation toward the first atoll.
Day2
North Male Atoll Diving Sites
The day starts with the first full diving schedule. Up to three dives are planned, typically including reef dives and channel dives known locally as “kandus”.
These sites are known for strong currents and rich marine life, including reef sharks and large pelagic species. Between dives, time is spent relaxing on board or preparing for the next immersion.
Day3
Vaavu Atoll, Channels and Night Dive
Navigation continues toward Vaavu Atoll, one of the most famous diving regions in the Maldives.
Dives here often include channel entries with current, attracting sharks, rays and large schools of fish. A night dive may be scheduled, offering the chance to observe nocturnal marine life in a completely different environment.
Day4
South Ari Atoll, Big Marine Life
The itinerary moves toward South Ari Atoll, known for frequent encounters with larger species.
This area is one of the best places in the Maldives to spot whale sharks and manta rays, depending on the season. Up to three dives are conducted during the day in different sites within the atoll.
Day5
South Ari Atoll Exploration and Reefs
Continue diving within South Ari, exploring a mix of reef systems and deeper structures.
The day balances different types of dives, from drift dives to coral reef explorations. Marine biodiversity is particularly high, making each dive unique.
Day6
Return Navigation and Final Dives
Begin the return route toward Male Atoll with one or two final dives scheduled in selected sites along the way.
The last dive is planned at least 24 hours before departure, in accordance with international diving safety regulations. The afternoon is dedicated to relaxation on board.
Day7
Male Atoll and Disembarkation
Return to Male in the morning. After breakfast, disembarkation takes place, marking the end of your Maldives diving liveaboard experience.
