Yoga & Sailing in Greece – Corfu and Coast of Epirus special
A holiday in Greece on a sailing boat to visit the most beautiful Greek islands on the Ionian coast.
Green and fertile islands, olive trees and vineyards, white sandy beaches, crystal clear water and a mild climate, all this is Ionian Greece. Thanks to the favorable weather conditions, we will sail in complete tranquility through colorful landscapes smelling of Mediterranean scrub, we will discover enchanting bays and visit picturesque villages.
We will touch Sivota, Parga, Corfu, Paxos and Anti-Paxos which will welcome us with genuine and warm Greek hospitality. An unforgettable holiday in close contact with unspoiled nature and a thousand-year-old culture, guided by me who are in my fourth season in Greece. Our starting point will be the incredible Corfu, full of both breathtaking bays and nightlife, for a beach holiday, relaxation and fun too.
Itinerary
Day1
GOUVIA MARINA CORFU
The meeting with the skipper starts at 15:00 while boarding is scheduled for the late afternoon from 17:00.
Our base is Corfu, one of the major islands of the archipelago. It is a curious mix of Italian (narrow and paved streets), English (the main square has a typical colonnade with a huge green lawn) and Hellenic architecture.
The Venetian citadel is really worth a visit. The result of the meeting of different cultures and tastes gives the town a lively and cosmopolitan aspect and a bit of social life. After organizing the galley and boarding, depending on the weather, we'll sail to a nearby bay to spend the first night under the stars.
Day2
Paxos
Breakfast and a relaxing bath and then we set sail for Paxos – Lakka. Paxos is very small. It is only 8 km long and 3 wide. It is a speck of an island covered by groves of olive trees. The capital of the island is Gàios, a lively and colorful village on the sea, which is revealed to the eyes at the end of a fjord full of atmosphere that winds between the mainland and the two islets Agios Nikolaos and Panagia which are immediately opposite. And then there is Lakka. The quintessential Greek village. In the bay, where the sea is of an inexplicable blue, half a meter from the water.
We will stop at Lakka at anchor for the night.
Day3
Lakka
Here you are awakened in the Pool of Lakka, ready to explore Paxos. Sailing, Bathing and Relaxation and another picturesque place in Ionian Greece: Panaya can go ashore to visit the lighthouse, Agios Nikolaos can make a shore excursion to the Fort and then Gaios, its colours, its transparent seabeds and inlets will offer another fantastic day to spend in these seas.
Dinner under the stars and midnight swim…
Day4
Antipaxos
Mongonisi and Antipaxos And we have reached Mongonisi and then Antipaxos again, a marvel! Its waters are of a blue that fades into bright blue and the natural location, especially when the sun's rays fall perpendicularly on it, further increasing the chromatic effect. If the hypothesis is to stay at sea and circumnavigate the island, then many paradisiacal coves and pristine white beaches await you for unforgettable bathing!
The evenings during the sailing cruise will be pleasant and to the rhythm of sirtaki…
Day5
Parga
Parga A beautiful sailing of about 25 miles (about 4 hours of navigation) and we find Parga, another stop along the coast that is worth a visit ... Splendid seas and rocks that fall until they touch the water. Hidden bays with marine green backdrops invite us to dive in and scrutinize the backdrops, and then stop and enjoy the evening on the boat, with the colors of the sunset.
Day6
Sivota
Sivota. We sail along the coast to continue our route and reach Sivota stopping in coves with crystal clear waters, to enjoy a lunch on board between one dive and another... The evening at your disposal to visit the port and the clubs that arise along the pier, meeting place for many tourists…
Dinner on board or at the port and overnight at anchor.
Day7
Corfu
Breakfast and after a relaxing bath we set sail towards Corfu. From the sea, Corfu reveals itself as an island with gentle profiles and beautiful coasts, which alternate white beaches with suggestive hidden coves. After the afternoon discovering one of these bays we will go towards Marina di Guvia where we will moor and after a shower we are ready for our final evening in Kerkira for a good dinner in a traditional tavern and then a walk in its historic centre. Night on the boat.
Saturday
Breakfast and disembarkation but with a lot of Greece...or rather with a Big Fat Sail in Greece!!!
