A one-way gulet cruise from Zakynthos to Corfu through the Ionian Islands, exclusively for travellers aged 18 to 39 who want a sociable week of island hopping.

This seven-night cruise runs one way through the Ionian Islands, from Zakynthos in the south to Corfu in the north, calling at Kefalonia, Lefkada, Preveza, Parga and Paxos. It is open only to travellers aged 18 to 39, and solo travellers are very welcome.

Sailing days leave room for swim stops and for exploring each harbour in the afternoon and evening. The route is flexible and may be adapted to the wind and sea conditions.

The coast of Zakynthos has limestone cliffs and blue caves, Kefalonia turquoise coves and forested hills, and Paxos and Antipaxos dramatic cliffs and olive groves, while the mainland coast has long sandy beaches.

Evenings are spent in lively harbour towns, from Agia Effimia and Nydri to the bazaar of Preveza, the beach bars of Parga and the nightlife of Corfu Town.

Life on board is friendly and informal. An onboard representative looks after the group and evening entertainment is part of the programme, so it is easy to meet new people.

Itinerary

Day 1

Zakynthos and Agios Nikolaos

Guests join the boat in Zakynthos and meet the crew and the other guests. The route then continues towards Agios Nikolaos, with a swim stop on the way if time allows. Late arrivals may overnight in Zakynthos port instead.

Day 2

Kefalonia: Agia Effimia

After breakfast and a swim stop the boat reaches Kefalonia and docks at Agia Effimia, a charming fishing village with a small harbour, tavernas, bars and a wood-fired bakery. The sunset is best enjoyed from the waterfront promenade, and a visit to Melissani Lake may be offered.

Day 3

Lefkada: Nydri

After breakfast and a last swim stop the boat sails into Nydri, Lefkada's best-known port, with local markets and waterside tavernas and bars. The evening can continue in the bars along the waterfront.

Day 4

Preveza

After a final swim and a stroll through Nydri the boat continues to Preveza. The evening is free to walk through the Saitan Bazaar, a cobbled lane of boutiques and cafes, and to visit the town's ouzo distillery.

Day 5

Parga

The stretch from Preveza to Parga is lined with endless beaches, and the captain drops anchor at the best swim spot. The boat then continues to Parga, a town of golden beaches, beach bars and fortress views. Depending on conditions, it docks in the small harbour or anchors nearby, in which case a water taxi may be needed to reach the shore, at an extra cost.

Day 6

Paxos: Gaios

The route leaves the mainland for the sister islands of Paxos and Antipaxos. After lunch the boat docks at Gaios, with the afternoon free to rent a bike and ride to Mongonissi Beach.

Day 7

Corfu and Disembarkation

From the small island of Paxos the boat sails to Corfu, with the captain choosing the best swim stops for one last dip. The last evening is spent in Corfu Town, with its restaurants, lively bars and clubs. After the last night on board, guests disembark the following morning and can fly from Corfu Airport or take a ferry to Igoumenitsa or Saranda.

Important Note
This itinerary may vary depending on weather conditions, sea state and operational requirements. The captain may adjust the route, anchorages and overnight stops to ensure safety, comfort and the best possible sailing experience.

Traditional Gulet Cabin Charter in Greece

This cabin charter is operated on board a traditional wooden gulet selected from a small fleet of carefully maintained sailing yachts cruising in Greek waters. The exact gulet is assigned close to departure, but all boats used for this itinerary share the same comfort level, onboard services and sailing style, ensuring a consistent experience for all guests.

The gulets used for this cruise range between approximately 23 and 28 meters in length and accommodate small groups in private guest cabins with en-suite bathrooms. Depending on the specific yacht assigned, the layout typically includes between 7 and 9 guest cabins, designed for couples, friends or solo travelers joining a shared sailing experience. Interiors are classic and functional, with warm wooden finishes, comfortable sleeping areas and private bathrooms with shower and WC.

Outdoor spaces are a key feature of these gulets. All yachts offer a spacious aft deck with shaded seating and dining area, ideal for meals on board and relaxed social moments. The forward deck is dedicated to sunbathing, with cushions or mattresses allowing guests to enjoy navigation, anchorages and quiet afternoons at sea. The overall atmosphere on board is informal and friendly, focused on comfort, slow sailing and shared experiences rather than luxury or formality.

Each gulet is operated by a professional local crew, typically including a captain, chef and deckhands, all experienced in Greek cruising areas. The crew takes care of navigation, meals, daily routines and safety, adapting the itinerary according to weather conditions and sea state to ensure a smooth and enjoyable cruise. Meals are freshly prepared on board and served in a convivial setting, contributing to the relaxed onboard rhythm.

While the specific yacht is assigned shortly before departure, all gulets used for this cruise meet the same standards in terms of space, services and overall comfort.

Travel organizer tips

What to pack for a sailing holiday?
Pack smart for your yacht charter: choose a soft bag instead of a hard suitcase, bring lightweight layers, reef-safe sunscreen, and non-slip shoes for onboard use. A couple of swimsuits and motion sickness remedies can also make a big difference. Each boat has limited storage, so pack light but wisely! Need help building the perfect list? Read our full guide: What to pack in a suitcase for a yacht charter

What’s a Typical Day Like on a Yacht Charter?
Start your day with a swim in a quiet bay, sail to hidden beaches or seaside villages, and enjoy a slow lunch on deck. Afternoons mean snorkeling, sunbathing, or exploring ashore. As the sun sets, your boat anchors in a scenic cove or near a harbor, ready for a relaxed dinner and a night under the stars. Curious about the full experience? Discover more in our guide: What’s a typical day like on a sailing holiday?

Who Handles Cooking and Cleaning on a Yacht Charter?
On a crewed gulet cruise, the crew takes care of sailing the boat and of daily routines on board, so guests can concentrate on swimming, exploring and meeting people. The meals included in the price are listed under the price details. Want to know more about how a crewed charter works? Read the full guide: Who takes care of cooking and cleaning on a sailing charter?

What Happens in Case of Bad Weather During a Sailing Holiday?
Summer sailing holidays rarely face major weather issues, but when the sea gets rough, skippers adjust the route for your safety. Expect protected bays, marina stops, or a change in plan. These moments often lead to unexpected gems: local towns to explore, time to relax on board, or cozy dinners ashore. Curious about how crews handle these changes?
