Relax and enjoy our 10 days yacht charter around some of the Canaries best loved and stunning locations! Come aboard now!

Approximately 300 to 500NM visiting the Eastern Canary Islands and ports of, for example Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Rubicon – Lanzarote, Morro Able – Fuerteventura, Las Palmas/Puerto Mogan - Gran Canaria. This week cruise is intended for people with some previous sailing experience who are looking to enjoy a sailing cruise or also to
achieve mileage towards further qualification together with 60NM qualifying passages for the Yachtmaster Exam. The days can be long, the winds can be challenging but our skippered cruises are very popular and will give you a great sense of achievement.

Itinerary

Day 1
Tenerife base - San Miguel Marina
We will meet and welcome you at your chosen base, from the ferry in La Gomera or at the San Miguel Marina in Tenerife and settle you onto your yacht. Ideally, you will start preparations and safety brief Friday evening in preparation for an early start the following morning. You are then invited to join us for drinks to meet the team, your instructors and fellow students or crew who start their full week courses. You will be made very welcome by the Canary Sail team and we can advise the best restaurants for you to sample!
Day 2
La Gomera
Prepare the yacht and following delivery of freshly prepared food on board, set sail for Santa Cruz de Tenerife or even directly to Rubicon, Lanzarote (this will depend on weather and crew).
Day 3
Lanzarote
Day 4
Rubicon
Once you have reached Rubicon - Lanzarote, your remaining cruise will be with the wind behind or on the beam (in NE winds).
Day 5
Fuerteventura
Further sailing west now returning to Tenerife or La Gomera via, for example Morro Jable – Fuerteventura and the beautiful Puerto Mogan on the south of Gran Canaria. Maybe some time to spend on Mogan which again is beautiful with the marina situated directly in front of the town!

Travelling to San Miguel Marina Tenerife
Based in the San Miguel Marina and situated just a 15 minute taxi transfer from Tenerife South (TFS) airport for those preferring the added convenience this location offers. Should you choose to start your sailing week from Tenerife, we will still sail you to La Gomera as part of your training week with us.

Getting to Canary Sail Tenerife consists of 3 easy steps
1. Booking a flight to Tenerife South airport (TFS) try www.skyscanner.com
2. Please ask the taxi driver to take you to Puerto Deportivo, San Miguel/Amarilla Golf Marina.
3. Met at the marina by one of our team and taken to your yacht.

Although most people fly to Tenerife South airport, flying to Tenerife North
airport is also an option.

what to pack
• Sunglasses
• High factor sun cream (not oil please!)
• Deck shoes if possible, otherwise soft shoes with a non-marking sole
• Shorts
• Gloves
• T-Shirts
• Fleece or jumper for the evenings
• Light jacket during the winter months
• Soft bag as opposed to a hard suitcase
• Light long sleeved shirt if you need to cover up in the sun
• Baseball/sun hat (preferably with a clip to stop it blowing overboard!)
• Sea sickness tablets should you need them
• Insurance for offshore sailing up to 40NM (territorial waters)
• Above all, enthusiasm!
