A one week sailing journey through Procida, Ischia, Capri and the Amalfi Coast, combining relaxed island hopping, scenic coastal navigation and authentic Mediterranean culture.
Explore one of Italy's most iconic sailing regions, combining the colorful villages of the Amalfi Coast with the volcanic landscapes of the Phlegraean Islands in a single circular route through the Gulf of Naples.
Departing from Procida, the route follows a circular course through Ischia, Capri, Positano and Amalfi, with short daily sailing legs designed to leave more time for exploring than for long passages at sea.
Along the way, the route passes secluded bays for swimming, historic coastal towns and waterfront villages, with each stop offering its own version of traditional Campanian life, from fishing harbors to cliffside piazzas.
Life onboard follows the rhythm of the sea, mornings often begin with a swim before breakfast, followed by a short sailing passage between islands and anchorages. Evenings alternate between peaceful nights at anchor and lively walks through historic harbors, combining nature, culture and authentic local experiences over the course of the week.
Itinerary
Day1
Boarding in Procida
Boarding takes place in Procida, with time to settle into the cabins before a relaxed first evening exploring the pastel colored houses of Corricella or the harbor at Marina Grande. The first night is spent on board in port.
Day2
Procida to Ischia
After breakfast, a short sail leads to Ischia, with a stop for swimming along the way. The rest of the day is free to explore the island, with the Aragonese Castle and the area's well known thermal springs among the highlights. The night is spent at anchor or in a small harbor on the island's coast.
Day3
Ischia to Capri
A longer crossing of the Gulf of Naples leads to Capri, with the approach itself one of the most scenic stretches of the week. The evening is spent at anchor, with the island's cliffs catching the last light.
Day4
Capri
A full day is spent exploring Capri, with a stop for swimming near the Blue Grotto and a chance to see the Faraglioni rock formations from the water. The afternoon is free to visit the town, with its narrow lanes, the Piazzetta and views from the cliffs above Marina Piccola.
Day5
Capri to Positano
Sail towards the Amalfi Coast, where steep cliffs and terraced hillsides rise straight from the sea. The boat anchors off Positano for the night, with time to explore the village's steep streets and waterfront.
Day6
Positano to Amalfi
The route continues along the coast, passing villages set into the cliffs before reaching Amalfi, once an independent maritime republic. The afternoon is free to visit the town, including its cathedral and historic center, with the night spent in the harbor.
Day7
Return to Procida and disembarkation
The final day is spent sailing back across the Gulf of Naples to Procida, with the last night spent on board in port. Disembarkation takes place the following morning after breakfast.

This modern catamaran is designed for comfortable group sailing, with a wide, bright main deck and plenty of room to spread out. The cockpit is the heart of life on board, with a table for long lunches and dinners, a gas plancha for cooking outdoors and an outside sink and shower for after the swim.
Up on the flybridge there is a quiet place to steer from, sunbathe or enjoy the view at anchor, while the hydraulic bathing platform at the stern makes it easy to slip into the water or launch the dinghy. Cushioned seating on deck and in the cockpit gives everyone a spot to relax.
Inside, the saloon and galley open onto the cockpit, with a fridge and freezer, an additional fridge, a stove with oven and indoor and outdoor speakers. Air conditioning and a generator keep the boat comfortable on hot summer evenings, and the watermaker and water purifier make long stays at anchor easier.

What to pack for a sailing holiday?
Pack smart for your yacht charter: choose a soft bag instead of a hard suitcase, bring lightweight layers, reef-safe sunscreen, and non-slip shoes for onboard use. A couple of swimsuits and motion sickness remedies can also make a big difference. Each boat has limited storage, so pack light, but wisely! Need help building the perfect list? What's a Typical Day Like on a Yacht Charter?
Start your day with a swim in a quiet bay, sail to hidden beaches or seaside villages, and enjoy a slow lunch on deck. Afternoons mean snorkeling, sunbathing, or exploring ashore. As the sun sets, your boat anchors in a scenic cove or near a harbor, ready for a relaxed dinner and a night under the stars. Curious about the full experience? Who Handles Cooking and Cleaning on a Yacht Charter?
On skipper-only charters, guests usually share cooking and cleaning duties, think salads, pasta, and good teamwork. If there's a hostess, light meals and tidying are included, but it's still a casual, collaborative vibe. On fully crewed yachts, you'll enjoy full service with a chef and crew managing everything. What Happens in Case of Bad Weather During a Sailing Holiday?
Summer sailing holidays rarely face major weather issues, but when the sea gets rough, skippers adjust the route for your safety. Expect protected bays, marina stops, or a change in plan. These moments often lead to unexpected gems: local towns to explore, time to relax on board, or cozy dinners ashore. Curious about how crews handle these changes?
