A one week catamaran holiday around the green northern coast of Corfu, with swim stops at Kalami and Erikousa, the coves of Paleokastritsa and long evenings at anchor.
This one week cruise starts from the marina of Gouvia, on the east coast of Corfu, and explores the northern half of the island, where pine and cypress hills fall to the sea below Mount Pantokrator and the small island of Erikousa lies a short crossing away. The route is a loop, so the boat is back at the base on the last day without any long transfer.
The route alternates sailing with swim stops, harbour villages and quiet anchorages, which suits families, groups of friends and crews who prefer swimming and exploring ashore to long days under sail. The crossing to Erikousa and the stretch along the west coast are more open to the wind, and in summer the afternoon breeze can freshen, so the route leaves room to choose the more protected anchorage on the day.
The scenery changes from the wooded bays of the north-east coast to the quiet beaches of Erikousa and the deep blue coves and rocky headlands around Paleokastritsa, on the west side of the island.
Ashore, the cruise calls at small harbour villages such as Kalami and Kassiopi, with tavernas on the waterfront and the ruins of an old castle above Kassiopi, and leaves time for a walk or a coffee in the villages along the way.
On board the day follows an easy rhythm of breakfast on deck, sailing, swimming and quiet evenings at anchor or on the quay. It is a holiday for those who enjoy being the crew of their own boat, with the freedom to stay longer where the place deserves it.
Itinerary
Day1
Boarding in Gouvia
Boarding takes place at the marina of Gouvia at 17:00. After settling into the cabins and a briefing at the base, the catamaran leaves the harbour and, time permitting, sails a short distance north to a sheltered bay for the first night at anchor.
Day2
North-east coast to Kalami
The route follows the north-east coast of Corfu under the slopes of Mount Pantokrator, past pine woods and small pebble beaches, to the bays of Agni and Kalami, where tavernas stand almost on the water. A quiet place to swim and spend the night at anchor.
Day3
Kalami to Kassiopi
A short sail leads north to Kassiopi, a small fishing harbour with the ruins of an old castle above the village and tavernas along the waterfront. The afternoon is free to swim, walk up to the castle or explore the village.
Day4
Kassiopi to Erikousa
The catamaran crosses the channel north-west to Erikousa, a small green island with quiet sandy beaches and a handful of tavernas, far from the busiest anchorages. A good place for a long swim and a calm evening at anchor.
Day5
Erikousa to Paleokastritsa
The route returns to Corfu and follows the west coast to Paleokastritsa, a series of deep coves with clear turquoise water below wooded headlands. Time to swim, explore the rocky coast by dinghy and spend the night at anchor.
Day6
Paleokastritsa to Kassiopi
The catamaran sails back north along the coast, around the northern tip of Corfu and down to the sheltered harbour of Kassiopi for the last night away from the base. Weather permitting, a last swim in one of the bays on the way.
Day7
Back to Gouvia and disembarkation
The final sail leads back to the marina of Gouvia, reached on Friday afternoon. The boat is prepared for return, the last night is spent on board and disembarkation takes place the following morning at 09:00.
Important Note This itinerary may vary depending on weather conditions, sea state and operational requirements. The person in charge of the boat may adjust the route, anchorages and overnight stops, following the briefing at the base, to ensure safety and comfort.

A spacious, comfortable catamaran for families and groups of friends, with a large cockpit for shared meals and cabins with their own bathroom.
Life on board happens in the large cockpit, shaded by the bimini and set around a table, with the saloon opening onto the deck so that cooking, dining and relaxing flow together. Air conditioning on board makes the hottest hours easy to enjoy, while the generator and water maker keep daily life comfortable at anchor.
The boat has twelve berths in total, ten of them in the five guest cabins and the rest on the convertible saloon table, so a group of friends or two families can travel together without crowding. Four double cabins and a double bunk cabin in the bow each have their own bathroom.
Twin hulls give a steady, stable ride and plenty of space on deck to stretch out, swim from the platform and spend the day outdoors.

What to pack for a sailing holiday?
Pack smart for your yacht charter: choose a soft bag instead of a hard suitcase, bring lightweight layers, reef-safe sunscreen, and non-slip shoes for onboard use. A couple of swimsuits and motion sickness remedies can also make a big difference. Each boat has limited storage, so pack light, but wisely! Need help building the perfect list? What’s a Typical Day Like on a Yacht Charter?
Start your day with a swim in a quiet bay, sail to hidden beaches or seaside villages, and enjoy a slow lunch on deck. Afternoons mean snorkeling, sunbathing, or exploring ashore. As the sun sets, your boat anchors in a scenic cove or near a harbor, ready for a relaxed dinner and a night under the stars. Curious about the full experience? What Happens in Case of Bad Weather During a Sailing Holiday?
In the Ionian the summer breeze can freshen in the afternoon, and when the wind or sea picks up, the person in charge of the boat adjusts the route for safety. Expect protected bays, marina stops, or a change in plan. These moments often lead to unexpected gems: local towns to explore, time to relax on board, or cozy dinners ashore. Curious about how crews handle these changes? Read the full FAQ: What to do in case of adverse weather conditions or changes to the itinerary
