A one week catamaran holiday from Corfu to the green islands of Paxos and Antipaxos and the quiet bays of Syvota, with swim stops in turquoise water and long evenings at anchor.
This one week cruise starts from the marina of Gouvia, on the east coast of Corfu, and heads south into the northern Ionian, where the green islands of Paxos and Antipaxos lie a short crossing from the Greek mainland. The route is a loop, so the boat is back at the base on the last day without any long transfer.
Distances are moderate and the sailing is mostly along sheltered coasts and across short channels, which suits families, groups of friends and crews who prefer swimming and exploring ashore to long days under sail. In summer the afternoon breeze can freshen, so the route leaves room to choose the more protected anchorage on the day.
The scenery changes from the wooded hills of Corfu to the olive groves of Paxos, the white pebble beaches and clear water of Antipaxos and the small islets and sheltered coves around Syvota, on the mainland coast.
Ashore, the cruise passes under the old fortresses of Corfu Town, stops at the small harbour of Gaios on Paxos, with its waterfront tavernas, and leaves time for a walk or a coffee in the villages along the way.
On board the day follows an easy rhythm of breakfast on deck, sailing, swimming and quiet evenings at anchor or on the quay. It is a holiday for those who enjoy being the crew of their own boat, with the freedom to stay longer where the place deserves it.
Itinerary
Day1
Boarding in Gouvia
Boarding takes place at the marina of Gouvia at 17:00. After settling into the cabins and a briefing at the base, the catamaran leaves the harbour and, time permitting, sails a short distance to a sheltered bay nearby for the first night at anchor.
Day2
Gouvia to the south-east coast of Corfu
The route follows the east coast of Corfu southwards, passing below the old fortresses of Corfu Town and continuing along a quiet shore of olive groves and small villages. The night is spent in a small harbour or anchorage on the south-east coast.
Day3
Corfu to Paxos
A longer sail crosses the channel south to Paxos, a green island covered with olive trees. The boat reaches the harbour of Gaios, sheltered by a small island in front of the village, with tavernas along the waterfront.
Day4
Paxos and Antipaxos
A short hop leads to Antipaxos, known for its white pebble beaches and clear water, for a long swim. In the afternoon the catamaran returns to Paxos, to the quiet bay of Lakka or back to Gaios, for the night.
Day5
Paxos to Syvota
The route crosses to the mainland coast of Greece and the sheltered bays of Syvota, a group of small islets and coves with calm water and a few tavernas on the shore. A good place to swim, rest and spend the night at anchor or on the quay.
Day6
Syvota to Corfu
The catamaran sails back across the channel to the southern end of Corfu and continues north along the east coast, stopping for a last swim in a bay before the night in a small harbour or anchorage.
Day7
Back to Gouvia and disembarkation
The final sail leads back to the marina of Gouvia, reached on Friday afternoon. The boat is prepared for return, the last night is spent on board and disembarkation takes place the following morning at 09:00.

Wide open decks, a spacious cockpit and a light-filled saloon make this modern catamaran a comfortable home afloat. Six cabins are spread across the two hulls: four double cabins for couples and two compact single cabins, ideal for children or friends who like their own space. Two shared bathrooms keep mornings simple.
Under sail the twin hulls give a steady, forgiving ride, while a self-tacking jib keeps manoeuvres easy for small crews. The cockpit table is the natural spot for long lunches, and the bimini keeps it comfortable in any weather. A dinghy with outboard and snorkelling gear make every anchorage easy to enjoy.
