Your sailing trip
A one-way week of sailing from Dubrovnik to Split along the Dalmatian coast, passing the Elaphiti Islands, Mljet National Park, Korčula, Hvar and the Pakleni Islands, with swim stops and harbor towns along the way.
The cruise departs from Dubrovnik and moves north along the Dalmatian coast, calling at the Elaphiti Islands, Mljet, Korčula, Hvar and the Pakleni Islands before ending in Split at the end of the week. Sailing a one way route rather than a round trip allows the itinerary to cover a longer stretch of coastline, with each day bringing a different island and a different atmosphere.
The islands close to Dubrovnik, including the Elaphiti archipelago and the village of Šipan, offer a quieter introduction to the route, with sheltered bays and sandy beaches within easy reach of one another. Mljet follows, largely covered by national park and known for its saltwater lakes and the small Benedictine monastery on the islet within Veliko Jezero.
Korčula brings a change of pace, its walled old town and red roofed houses often compared to a smaller version of Dubrovnik, with vineyards nearby producing local Grk and Pošip wines. Further north, Hvar carries a livelier character around its old harbor, with the Pakleni Islands just offshore offering quieter coves for swimming before or after a stop in town.
The final stretch toward Split passes either Brač, with its long Zlatni Rat beach at Bol, or the quieter island of Šolta, depending on conditions. The cruise ends in Split, where Diocletian's Palace and the old town give the trip a fitting close.
Days generally combine a morning sail with a swim stop at anchor, followed by an afternoon ashore in a harbor town, with evenings spent either in a marina or at anchor in a sheltered bay.
Life on board depends on the yacht class. Depending on the yacht class, you may find private or shared bathrooms, air conditioning or natural ventilation, and meals prepared by a host or by the guests themselves. The boat description and the Included and Not included lists on this page show exactly what each yacht offers. In the Boats available section at the bottom of the page you can compare the other boats on this route and switch to a different one, depending on dates and availability. If you prefer a different style of week on the same route, you can also compare the Dubrovnik to Split Explorer cruise.

Yacht - Economy Catamaran 38-42 ft
Economy Catamaran for an Island Hopping flotilla week, designed for guests aged 18 to 35.
The Economy Catamaran offers one of the most affordable ways to experience a cabin charter sailing holiday in Croatia, ideal for travelers who want to explore the Dalmatian islands without the cost of luxury yachts. Typically ranging between 38 and 42 feet, these catamarans provide a simple and social way to sail the Adriatic, combining island-hopping adventures with a relaxed flotilla atmosphere.
Yachts in this category are assigned by the operator, meaning the exact catamaran model may vary depending on the departure date and sailing route. However, all boats share the same essential setup and level of comfort. Cabins are double, with shared bathrooms and no onboard air conditioning, creating a more communal environment that keeps the price accessible while still offering everything needed for a memorable sailing journey along the Croatian coast.
Life onboard is designed with young travelers aged 18–35 in mind, combining sailing, swimming, and social moments throughout the week. Guests usually travel as part of a flotilla sailing experience in Croatia, where multiple yachts follow the same route through the Dalmatian islands. Crews often meet during sunset raft-ups, shared anchorages, or casual group dinners in seaside villages along the itinerary.
Each catamaran includes a professional skipper responsible for navigation and daily sailing operations, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the experience even without previous sailing knowledge. Breakfast and shared lunch provisions are supplied for the week: guests prepare their meals together in the galley and bring their own drinks and snacks. Days alternate between swimming stops, island visits and short scenic sails between destinations such as Hvar, Korčula, Mljet and Dubrovnik. Equipment like SUP boards and snorkeling gear is available to explore the clear Adriatic waters, hidden coves, and quiet bays that define many Croatia sailing itineraries.
The Economy Catamaran is especially suited for backpackers, groups of friends, and couples looking for a budget-friendly way to experience an Adriatic catamaran cruise. It focuses on the essentials of sailing travel: island discovery, turquoise water swim stops, lively evenings with fellow travelers, and the freedom of exploring the Croatian coast by sea.

Pack smart for your yacht charter: choose a soft bag instead of a hard suitcase, bring lightweight layers, reef-safe sunscreen, and non-slip shoes for onboard use. A couple of swimsuits and motion sickness remedies can also make a big difference. Each boat has limited storage, so pack light—but wisely! Need help building the perfect list? Start your day with a swim in a quiet bay, sail to hidden beaches or seaside villages, and enjoy a slow lunch on deck. Afternoons mean snorkeling, sunbathing, or exploring ashore. As the sun sets, your boat anchors in a scenic cove or near a harbor—ready for a relaxed dinner and a night under the stars. Curious about the full experience? Meal and onboard arrangements differ from one boat to another. The boat description and the Included and Not included lists on this page show what applies to your cruise, and our guide explains how cooking and cleaning usually work on a sailing charter. Summer sailing holidays rarely face major weather issues—but when the sea gets rough, skippers adjust the route for your safety. Expect protected bays, marina stops, or a change in plan. These moments often lead to unexpected gems: local towns to explore, time to relax on board, or cozy dinners ashore. Curious about how crews handle these changes?
