A week on a spacious catamaran with a skipper from Ibiza Town, sailing the bays of Ibiza and the turquoise shallows of Formentera and Espalmador.
This one week cruise starts from the old harbour of Ibiza Town and links the south and west coast of Ibiza with the island of Formentera, in a loop that follows some of the clearest water of the Balearic Islands. The route calls at Talamanca, Cala Jondal, the bay facing the rock of Es Vedrà and the white beaches of Ses Illetes.
Distances are short to medium, usually between ten and twenty nautical miles a day, with the crossing to Formentera as the longest open water passage. With a skipper at the helm there is plenty of time to swim, snorkel and linger at anchor, and the shallow sandy bays are ideal for a catamaran.
The scenery mixes pine covered cliffs, hidden coves and the pale sands of Formentera, with water in every shade of turquoise. Anchorages are generally sheltered in typical summer conditions, and sunsets facing Es Vedrà are unforgettable.
Ashore, the route offers the old town of Ibiza with its fortified walls, the quiet villages of Formentera and beach restaurants serving fresh fish and local specialities. The harbour is a short walk from the heart of the old town.
On board the day follows an easy rhythm: breakfast on deck, a short morning sail, a swim before lunch and a quiet evening under the stars, in the company of friends or family and with the sailing left to the skipper.
Itinerary
Day1
Boarding in Ibiza Town and Talamanca Bay
Boarding takes place in the late afternoon at the Port of Ibiza, below the walls of Dalt Vila. After settling into the cabins and a briefing with the skipper, the catamaran sails the short distance to Talamanca Bay, a wide sandy bay sheltered from most winds, for a first dinner on board.
Day2
Talamanca to Cala Jondal
The coast south of Ibiza Town alternates sandy beaches and low cliffs. The catamaran anchors at Cala Jondal, a cove of sand and pebbles with clear water, where there is time to swim, try the paddle boards and enjoy the relaxed beach atmosphere.
Day3
Cala d’Hort and Es Vedrà
The route follows the southwest coast to Cala d’Hort, a bay that faces the rock of Es Vedrà, one of the most recognisable sights of the Balearic Islands. The evening is for a swim and a sunset over the rock and its smaller companion, Es Vedranell.
Day4
Crossing to Formentera and Cala Saona
The skipper takes the catamaran across the open channel to Formentera, the longest passage of the week. The anchorage at Cala Saona, a sandy bay on the west coast, is calm and quiet, with a short walk along the shore at sunset.
Day5
Ses Illetes and Espalmador
A short sail north leads to the shallow turquoise water of Ses Illetes and to the islet of Espalmador just beyond. Sandy seabed, very clear water and gentle depths make this a day for swimming, snorkelling and walking barefoot on the white sand.
Day6
Formentera to Cala Vadella
The catamaran recrosses the channel and follows the west coast of Ibiza to Cala Vadella, a sheltered bay of fine sand surrounded by pines. The last full evening is spent at anchor, with dinner on board or at a beach restaurant ashore.
Day7
Back to Ibiza Town and Disembarkation
The final sail follows the south coast of Ibiza back to the Port of Ibiza, arriving on Friday afternoon. The last night is spent on board, with time to stroll through the old town and its harbour, and disembarkation takes place on Saturday morning.

This wide, stable catamaran is made for comfortable cruising with family or friends. The cockpit is a real outdoor living room, with a large dining table and a lounge area in the shade, while the flybridge offers a breezy spot for sunbathing and sundowners.
Inside, the bright saloon opens onto the cockpit and connects to a well-equipped galley, so meals can be prepared and shared in one social space. Four double cabins, each with its own bathroom, are set in the two hulls for privacy and quiet nights.
With ten berths in total, eight in the four double guest cabins, and air conditioning, a generator and a water maker on board, it combines space and autonomy for relaxed days at anchor and easy sailing between bays.
